Upgrading from a Free account to the next level paid account #howto

 

I can't seem to find a way to upgrade from my FREE group account to the next level up paid account. ?If I go to the pricing page, under Premium, the only thing I can do is click the button that says "Start a Group." ?But I already have a group. ?Help!! ?
 

Assuming you're the owner (or a qualified moderator), click Admin on the left menu then scroll down to click on Upgrade.? That will open a page that has a blue View/Change Plan button at the upper right.? That takes you to a page that has all the plans listed with the various payment options.? Click Upgrade next to the one you want and complete the payment information.

An owner of my group tried to upgrade our group however an warning popped up saying they are not a "payor"

I set a group up for my son's school and the office wants to pay for an upgrade.

Any group owner ought to be able to upgrade the group.

First check that he/she is logged in with an owner's email address. When on one of the group's web pages have him/her look at the Home button at the top of the left column and verify that there is a light blue Owner badge there.

Then select the Upgrade page from the Admin list of pages

Then click the View/Change Plan button. From there it should be a matter of choosing a plan and clicking the Upgrade button for that plan.

Then enter the payment details and click Upgrade Your Group:

I'm not sure how he/she could get to a spot that warns about not being a payor. He/she should try the steps above, and report back if it goes wrong, and at what step.

Does this relate to your problem:

BUGFIX: If a basic group previously was a premium group with a
different person set as payor, you could not change who was the
payor or upgrade the group.


Maybe only if you had previously tested upgrading the group to Premium.
