Original Message Not Being Sent with Replies

Greetings,

Something has changed recently with regards to the way posts are showing?up. When I post an initial message that people respond to, the original?message is not being sent with responses.?

So nobody knows what?anybody else is responding to, as it looks like they are sending a new?message. This is a recent change, and we did not make any changes on our?side that I can see.

Can you tell me if there is a setting we can change to fix this?

Sincerely,

To my knowledge, this has never been a configuration option. Did you recently transfer your group from somewhere where it was?

In groups.io, it is up to each post-er to decide how much (if any) of the original context to provide. Using the html editor in the web interface, you can copy the original message in one of two ways:

  • Click on the "quote whole post" icon (at the far left of the menu bar), or
  • Highlight a section of the message with your mouse before clicking on the "reply" button (as I have done above).
Via email, the mechanism to do this depends on your mail client. If you're having a problem with your own posts, check your client settings.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

I think we¡¯ve figured out it was a problem with people¡¯s own email settings, where they were not including the original message in their response. Sorry for the post. Thank you for the help.
