Member not receiving group emails
John T
Hi all,? I have one member who hasn't been receiving the group emails for a couple of days. Previously, no problem. I've asked her to check her Junk Mail folder, no luck.
Any ideas?? She's set to receive emails, singly.? Has a Name @ Yahoo.co.uk address.? Has been an active member for years when we were at Yahoo, and now that we've moved to Groups.IO she remained active until two days ago.? Could there be a blockage at Yahoo.co.UK ??? All help appreciated :) John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýCheck out her membership in the web interface. ?There are tools to discern if the outgoing mail is bouncing "Email Delivery History". On Apr 21, 2018, at 8:01 PM, John T <jtslists@...> wrote:

Email Delivery History shows No Bouncing.
Most Recent Successful Delivery shows the last message posted as Successfully delivered. Thanks, I should have thought to look there... Any other ideas? John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion

In this case, you want to investigate the receiving party's client.? A rule perhaps, or the mail got stuck in a junk folder for some reason... On Sat, Apr 21, 2018 at 8:54 PM, John T <jtslists@...> wrote: Email Delivery History shows No Bouncing. --

So... that brings us back to where I started this thread.? I've already asked her to check her Junk Mail folder... I'm pretty sure she hasn't implemented any new Rules but will ask, just in case.
Just to reiterate, she's using the Yahoo.co.UK address... and, of the actively posting members, she's the only one using that email domain. Hopefully there are others on this group who have that domain for their email and can verify that it is or is not working for Groups.IO at this time? John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion

Hi John, First, in Yahoo mail it is called Spam, not Junk and she may be looking for "Junk." I have a genealogy group for Monmouthshire, Wales and have several members with Yahoo.uk email addresses and have no more complaints than are normal for Yahoo. Many have abandoned them for email addresses that work. Like Verizon/Yahoo Groups, their email is not reliable. Verizon/Yahoo
mail has had and continues to have periods where they don't deliver, send emails to spam
&/or bounce the emails. I know that it has been suggested to check
your bouncing list to see if she is on it, yet you didn't say if she is. If she is, she needs to clear
the bounce. The last thing I'd try is to remove her from the group and invite her back, if you have a premium group you can add her back. Her groups.io password should still work. Paul, Ohio, USA

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply and suggestions.? I'll keep them in mind for the next time (and you know there's gonna be a next time :)) She's now receiving the group mail and is happy :) I doubt I'll ever know exactly what happened... but as long as she's happy she's getting emails again... I'm Ok with that ;) Thanks, again, John T - Join us at SciFi_Discussion
