Odd! Groups.io does not let the last owner leave a group. Either there is someone else who is an owner (another of your email addresses or someone else). Or perhaps it didn't allow the removal.

Try selecting the "Remove other reply options" checkbox in your group Settings and see if that helps. People will still be able to send private replies (there's no way to completely eliminate that)
