There is another solution in addition to switching email providers. That is eschewing email participation in groups.io groups and relying only on the website.
Many of us prefer to receive emails, but occasional bounces and false positive spam are the price for that preference. Young digital natives, like my grandchildren, cannot believe how much email users are willing to put up with. When I talk about spam, they ask why I bother with email and roll their eyes. I suspect, because the younger generation don't care about email spam, there is little incentive for outfits like Apple to invest much in dealing with spam more effectively.
