Re: Moderation
Except that that doesn¡¯t explain why people I know have posted many times on the Yahoo group and are not listed as moderated on groups.io, including myself, are being moderated now. They were not

Login? I do not recall any when I transferred my group 1 month ago from Yahoo where it had been for 13 years. To get the temporary link, I just used my e-mail address, I think. It asked for a

Re: Importing Facebook Group info and membership list #importingdata
Sara, ? I have a closed group setup in Facebook and when you post to the group, it puts it up on the group page and, if you are group member, you get a notice of a posting.? We have not had a lot of

Re: Importing Facebook Group info and membership list #importingdata
There's not an Easy Transfer for FB like there is for Yahoo or Google groups.? Hopefully someone has done this and can chime in with some tips. The FB integration just takes posts from a public FB

Re: Moderation
Again, that's because they were M (moderated) in your yahoo group, so they stayed M (moderated) when transferred over. The transfer process doesn't count the number of yahoo messages people have

Re: Moderation
Hence my confusion. Never mind, I will soldier on, and hope if I approve enough messages often enough it will sort itself out. Elizabeth -------------------------------------------------------

Re: Importing Facebook Group info and membership list #importingdata
I didn't think you could do that. I thought the facebook thing was the other way around where when you post something to the group it posts to your facebook page? Correct me if I'm wrong?

Re: Moderation
I sympathize, but that's your only option currently (and I think you mean set them to NuM). I had to go through it recently with a 3,000-member group I helped transfer over, the majority of whose

Re: Moderation
Sorry, was driving, meant the opposite. Bottom line is that NuM needs to be set by hand for any old members coming over from yahoo who are on mod in yahoo only because they haven't yet posted, because

In that case, you must have the Spam Control section of your Settings set for Moderated.? That's the only way I can see this happening. Duane -- Help: /static/help GMF's Wiki:

Re: Moderation
I entirely agree that setting them to Default group policy would be best. My issue is that they are already set to that, and yet I am being asked to moderate them. But I will give it a go. Thanks for

The best choice would probably be "Default group policy".? That way if there's ever a serious group problem, you can quickly switch the group to moderated, then back to unmoderated after things cool

Bruce, There¡¯s no NuM feature in yahoo. It¡¯s not a setting: it¡¯s just an FYI to members that they are on moderation until a moderator manually unmoderates them. The problem is that the posting

Bruce, No, that's incorrect. Y!G does have a NuM feature and it's the same as No, that too is incorrect. Yahoo groups has a like-named feature, but it doesn't work like Groups.io's. In Y!groups the
