Does the new notifications of photo and file uploads only apply to groups that use hashtags? My groups don't find the need for hashtags so we don't use them. Annick

During testing I have found that an email is sent to the group with the #file hashtag even if 'no email' is specified and the 'notify members' checkbox is blank on the file upload dialog page.? I

...or you could set the Topic Duration to one hour and it will auto-delete after that time, but... ...then what happens when someone sticks the #wiki or #file hashtag on a regular message? Oops. And

TucsonHikers, Yes, as Duane said. Each member can choose to mute the #wiki hashtag to avoid receiving it by email. Duane said: "On your group, find the (new) #wiki hashtag and edit it (click Edit Tag)

Tommy -- Just some info that might help you. Mail clients that use drag-and-drop to add photos to messages generally embed them, rather than attaching them. Groups.io rescales all such embedded images
