Re: Spam from Facebook
I can image this would be quite disconcerting!
Like Toby, I have all such integrations on Moderation. You might want to consider doing the same. Beyond that, I doubt anyone here is familiar with the API being used to access Facebook content. That being so, the only one that can help sort this out is support. Good luck, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

?,
?Not just any email, specifically an invitation to join your Yahoo group. ?To do this you must be a moderator (with the Invite and add members privilege) or an owner of the group. You will subsequently need the privilege to
Add, remove, and change moderator privileges, or be an owner, in order to promote the transfer agent to a moderator (Step 3). ?Shal? -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

Re: Uploading photos
After clicking on the Add Photos button, click Browse to look for them on your computer, then select all that you want to upload to that album before clicking the Open button in the window where you browse for them.? You can use Shift if they're contiguous or Ctrl to select specific files (in Windows).

Are you following the steps at /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Transfer-from-Yahoo-Groups, including the details found at /g/GroupManagersForum/message/8697?? There are a couple of places where you'll receive an email telling you to continue the process.

Re: Making Subgroups
PACC Forums Admin
When we were looking to move from Yahoo to IO we decided to use ONLY subgroups for actual messages and conversations and us the main group only to hold the member accounts as required to have a subgroup.? Our reasoning was that in Yahoo we had? people in group A who were not in B,? in B and A but not C,? In C & B but not A, etc.? In other words there was no single group that had everyone.? So, when we set up IO, we created the MAIN group with settings that would not permit postings, adding files, adding images, etc.? In other words the only thing one could do was join or leave the group.? Then we use as subgroup for all the things we really need.? ?In our case, we are using all private groups (and subgroups) and only use Direct Add as the means for getting people into groups (no invites, no "request to join") so having to add manage the member in MAIN as well as the subgroups they need to be in was not a big deal for us.? I'm not sure how this idea would work open groups.

Success of Group Transfer
#groupowner
How can I tell if my transfer worked? The "Easy Yahoo Group Transfer" page just refreshes every time I click on 'Start Group Transfer Process'. Did it work? Did it fail? I didn't get an email about it, in short as far as I can tell nothing happened. What did I do wrong?

Re: Help transferring from Yahoogroups
I'm in exactly the same boat as you! But after 7 days my 2 Yahoo groups got put into the "transfer in progress" category (whew!) and I got [email protected]?to be a member of those 2 Yahoo groups and then I made it a moderator. Now its been another 7 days and the transfer has not happened yet and I'm biting my nails because overall its been a month since I started alerting our 2 Yahoo groups that I was going to move us outta Yahoogroups and we're in a bit of a limbo and I'm doing a dance begging members to be patient. I can't jump right to the paid membership until Groups.io proves its worth.

Re: I Got Bounced from my AOL Email address
Do you mean that a message from groups.io to your AOL address bounced?? Or that you were removed from a group?? AOL addresses quite regularly have problems with both.? If you were removed, check the activity log to see if was for "marked message as spam."? If so, take a look at /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Removed-for-spam

Re: Spam from Facebook
This should be reported to support. It could have originated from either GIO or Facebook, and is worthy of investigation for a possible bug.?
I wouldn't call it spam, though. Old messages are not spam. Are they dupes of previous messages, or just something that should have posted a long time ago and got held up somehow? Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

Your group settings allow people to see your posts - but only subscribers can post. Your settings are, according to your group homepage:

?Posts to this group do not require approval from the moderators.
?Posts from new users require approval from the moderators.
?Messages are set to reply to group.
?Subscriptions to this group do not require approval from the moderators.

You should start with /yahootransfer and /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Transfer-from-Yahoo-Groups, then ask for clarification, if needed.
