While logged in, click on your name in the upper right corner, then select Account.? On the page that opens, fill in the new password and click Change Password.

Re: Can someone explain to me... unsubscribed for marking a message as spam

The first part is self-explanatory - they (or their email service) marked a message as spam and cleared the spam folder.? The second is because when that happens an email is sent to them from groups.io explaining what happened, including a link to correct it.? There are several threads here recently about this very thing.

The person, or their email spam filter, marked a message as spam. That caused to unsubscribe them, simultaneously sending them a link to resubscribe. Then they resubscribed. There have been, like, hundreds of conversations about this here.

I do absolutely nothing.

Then a few hours later, I get...

"This is to notify you that XXXXXX?has rejoined your group?[email protected]."

Can someone explain to me what the heck happened to generate [both] those messages????

Thanks!

I/We try to have mods/owners in various countries around the world so 'someone' is normaly around to approve messages

I wouldn¡¯t want or need the change to be ¡®prominent¡¯. In our case, the move was so seamless that some members are oblivious and literally still think we¡¯re in yahoo, and that was two years ago.

Hi,
Thanks for your comments! You're certainly right, it would be better to have all transferred at once, and soonest.
FWIW, it might be an advantage to have it messy. The changes will be more prominent in the local headlines and, as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Re: How does a Bounce get Reset?

Bruce,

Look her up in the members list. If the "B" code is blue, GIO is still trying to send her posts,...

Niggling detail: at that point Groups.io is not sending group postings, but is sending bounce probes - one every few days.
?
and will unbounce her as soon as one goes through. If it's red, you can manually send a new bounce probe at the bottom of the page.

You can send an ad-hoc bounce probe in either "bouncing" (blue B) or "bounced" (red B) status. And the member him/herself will be prompted to have one sent if he/she logs on to the site.

Re: Simple question - is possible to print the Database Tables?

Confused, "export is too small?" - maybe I'm missing something but the export gives you the data in CSV () format so that you can use it any way you want, like import into Excel, etc.? That said, it helps to be familiar with working with CSV data and files.
Unfortunately, the button on GIO generates the content of the CSV file and displays it in the browser, instead of sending you a downloadable file directly.? But (on Windows) you can right-click on the button and select "Save link as..." and then save the file, be sure to change the extension from .txt to .csv.? Then, assuming you have Excel, you can open that file and your data is in a spreadsheet and you can print/format however you want.? The export will work better if you have a lot of data.
Then again - you may have copied/pasted the CSV text from the browser into Word and done an Insert->Table->Convert text to table (Separate text at commas) operation to give you all the data in a Table in Word in (almost) one step.? That works also.
I'll post a comment in the Beta forum to request changing the button to directly generate a downloadable file, or better yet, optionally generate a Excel spreadsheet file.
HTH.? Thanks for this diversion this morning! :)

I just tested this and I think there's a small bug. Mark evidently forgot to unmask email addresses in the message previews. They ARE unmasked in the actual message archive. You could report it to [email protected]. The bug has nothing to do with normalizing HTML. It's just that he forgot to unmask the address in the message preview.

Re: google drive integration

I hope it does help. Be advised of folder security, though. Anyone who figures out the link address will be able to mess with those files.

For that reason I suggest posting it in a secure location...one inaccessible to non-subscribers. Your home page is probably not the best choice, because it could show up in a search engine even if you don't have your group listed in the GIO directory.
