That says to me that the service hosting your email is unable to complete the DMARC process.? I only found with possible solutions, but it mentions that it may not be DMARC causing it at all.? The error is because the DMARC process has started, but can't complete because of another problem.

Multiple bounces

Over the past several months, I have had to unbounce my account...I will unbounce it only to have to repeat it a few days later.? In all cases, the error message is:
?
mxa-00260502.gslb.pphosted.com: 451 4.7.5 Temporary error evaluating DMARC policy
?
Is this due to the corporate email system being "too sensitive" or something with Groups.IO that is not responding quickly enough?

Re: Is it possible for one member to block messages from certain other specific members?

Of course most email clients offer on the recipient's end the ability to trash incoming emails based on any number of criteria.

Re: Muting a Person
?
I've often wanted this, but there are many practical difficulties.
?
You can always set up a rule or filter so the offender's messages are rerouted to the bit-bucket. Detailed instructions for this depend on how you read your mail, but just about any mail client should have this capability.
?
Currently, the same cannot be done when reading messages in the online message archive, and how such a thing could be implemented is far from clear.
?
Within a group environment, such efforts often prove futile, given that someone else might quote (or respond in some fashion) to something the person you're trying to block has said.?

Your mail client probably allows you to create a rule that will send mail from a species user to trash.?

It isn't possible for one member to block messages from certain other specific members.
They can mute topics however.

As Malcolm said, there is no such provision. The way I understand it, such an implementation would run afoul of internet privacy laws... at least in some countries.

There is no such option, the poster can /always/ delete their own messages.

If you want to provide your own nuggets of history and schedule them to be sent using existing tools, calendar events are just about your only option. And with proper use of hashtags, people will still be able to mute them. I suspect it would take some work to populate them, but that doesn't seem to be a concern on your end.?If anyone else has actually done something like this please weigh in with your experience.

Re: "On this day" calendar/database?

Thank you all for your advice. I've noted the concern about subscribing to the feed and users getting tired of it - maybe a subgroup they can subscribe / unsubscribe could be a solution?

Re: "On this day" calendar/database?

Frances' idea of an RSS #feed seems pretty brilliant, actually (e.g.: ). It does the stated job, and there's very little work involved.
?
I will acknowledge that my experience with RSS feeds - and such "news" in general - suggests that subscribers soon grow weary of them. While those who dislike them can always mute the associated hashtag(s), few will actually do so. You may need to be prepared to have subscribers start marking them as spam and getting unsubscribed. /helpcenter/faq/1/group-member-faq/q-i-got-a-message-that-i?

Re: "On this day" calendar/database?

If one were to implenent such a feature, one would want to give the proposed recipients a way to disable it. I, for one, try to limit my daily incoming unsolicited (non-spam) emails to ?less than ~200.

"On this day" calendar/database?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on the best options to provide our group with "on this day in history" facts.
?
For each day of the year we might have between four and six historic events that happened. I'd like members to get an automatic email each day with the events associated with that day, and also be able to browse through the events.
?
It seems a recurring event in calendar might work, or maybe store the events in a database? Uploading of the data is something we need to consider.
?
I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thank you
Dan

Regardless, thanks to Bruce and Malcom for the help. I'm guessing the whole "issue" was user error in some form, but it's fixed now regardless!?? (If you thought this was fun, imagine me trying to help her operate her DVR!)

Just a guess Kim ... if she has a list of messages open on her screen then she may have been clicking on 'More' above rather than below her message ...

Another thought occurs to me. Could she be logged in under a different email address than the one that posted the message?
?
If so, she should log out and log back in with the correct email address. At that point I suspect the edit function might become available, too.

Trust me, it's there. She needs to look harder.
?
Or she is not logged in to the account she posted from! That would do away with both options.
