Re: Member in hard bounce state can't post? #bouncing
In the Member's Manual ( /helpcenter/membersmanual/1/understanding-groups-io-accounts/handling-a-bouncing-account ) it states that a member can login and read/post messages from there

Member in hard bounce state can't post? #bouncing
Am I correct that a member in a hard bounce state (red "B") cannot post messages to the group? Many thanks, Pete

Re: Why are members getting a confirm email message
In addition, I would check (how?) to be sure the message isn't a phishing attack. Saying it appears to be not connected to the January event suggests additional caution. With the overall RI issue

Re: Why are members getting a confirm email message
First of all, I am quite sure it is related to the reverification requirement. If you go to Admin, Members, and use the filters, you will see how many in your group must reverify their Groups.io
Why are members getting a confirm email message
A number of the members of my group Lost Coast Kennel Club are getting emails from groups.io to confirm their email addresses. This appears to be separate from the RI/RS issue in January.? Does

Re: How to clear an RI
Alan -- RI is an account status, not a subscription status. Any remedy requires action by the account holder (in this case, logging in, as Andy mentioned). For the record, so is Bouncing and Bounced.

Re: Sharing responses to postings with entire group
On Groups.io, it's when 12 messages are 'ready' (based on any advanced options chosen) or every day at 6 a.m. local time. Duane -- Lots of detailed information can be found in the Owners Manual (

Correct, but you can disable that option as a group setting. Bruce Check out the groups.io Help Center ( /helpcenter ) and groups.io Owners Manual (

Re: Sharing responses to postings with entire group
I wouldn't worry about information overload, because users can individually adjust their mail settings. For example, receive all email, receive no email, receive only important group notifications. If

@Bruce Except ¡°no email¡± delivery preference, I presume?

Re: Not understanding ¡°Special Notice¡±
Correct...only messages initiated via New Topic will have that checkbox available. Yes. They also bypass any subscription setting (digest/summary/whatever) and will be delivered as individual emails.

Re: How to clear an RI
You can't do that yourself. They need to login to the Groups.io site to re-verify their accounts. Regards Andy

How to clear an RI
I have three members with "RI" after their names. They remember receiving nothing from groups.io on what do do. They are not receiving our messages. I can communicate with them using the same email

Re: Not understanding ¡°Special Notice¡±
Only Owners/Mods can send messages that end up with the [Special] prefix.? The hashtag properties determine if a member can reply to that: If Replies by Mods Only *is not* checked then the email

Re: Not understanding ¡°Special Notice¡±
No, that does not work. Mark (apparently) strips off a [Special] prefix from an incoming e-mail, and the emails sent out do not contain the Prefix. Do I understand it correctly (someone verified?)

Re: Sharing responses to postings with entire group
Anita I may be in the minority and be misunderstanding but I'm confused as to what exactly you want to do. ¡°share all responses to all posting with all members¡± sounds, to me, as if you want to

Re: Sharing responses to postings with entire group
If members aren't getting messages sent to the group email address, you should check out your group settings in Admin. Check the Reply To settings. For information about it, see

Re: Sharing responses to postings with entire group
Anita, From what I can see and know, all anyone in your group has to do to ¡®share all postings with all members¡¯ is to have the members send a post to your address <[email protected]> . That will put

Re: Members who have not reverified (still RI status) removal update
@BB. ?Understood! Thx. @SS Not really a problem for me but I wondered if Gio might benefit from cleaning up those who are Bounced. Kinda like mis matched pairs in MY drawer that are of little value
