Have you checked the Activity for a member after they complain? /helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/reviewing-the-group-s-activity-log Also you mentioned at first that the members complained

They're not going to spam or junk(or so they say) - they don't show up anywhere. I've told them to make Groups.IO a trusted /preferred/allowed sender but they seem to not understand the concept. ?.
