reply options
I have my group set to reply only to the whole group. ?A new member who had been on "no mail" just switched to individual emails. When she tries to reply to one of the messages, it automatically goes only to the person who sent the message instead of to the whole group. ?I know she can click on "reply all", but then she has to delete the original sender's name and that's a lot of trouble. ?It has always been where when we hit "reply" it just goes back to the group. ?Any suggestions?
thanks, Ann |

I'm looking for some way to create a section of selected posts. I'll try creating a #FEATURED hashtag though it's not quite the same thing. Anything I'm missing...? Re: member got deleted
Does anyone know if the service that starts with A and ends with L has a whitelist that would stop members from experiencing this problem?

YEp. I'm going to combine my two albums shortly, probably by delting the one with only a picture, and then loading a copy into the other album. Re: Problem with Incredimail formatting (was: html)
Anita,
My group uses incredimail and sends letters with graphics. I was"Came back"? I assume you're talking about back into your inbox. At which email service? Can you look at that same message in the group's Messages pages? How does it look there? I tried it with a letter without a side border and it works. I wasNo, I think the default settings of Groups.io groups pass formatted (HTML) messages through pretty much untouched, except for appending the footer. I suppose it is possible that some kind of formatting, such as the side border, gets tangled up with the message footer and that's causing what you see. Mainly the html is coming out distorted and is there a way to goAs I mentioned for your other post, there isn't a "traditional" setting for Groups.io. or can you fix this. Not *me*, I'm just another Groups.io user (though I do own this particular group). Perhaps you (or rather your group members) can just work around that problem by applying the "don't do that" remedy. That is, don't apply borders to the messages. I am not impressed with your support as many of my letters here andI can't speak for Mark, but GMF is a volunteer run group, not an official support group. So as Mike said, it may take more than a day. Things here run on "volunteer" time. That is, you get an answer when and if someone here feels like spending their own time to help you. I wish the owners here would help me.I was going to suggest that if the messages appear messed up on Groups.io's Message page, you could cite the group name and message number(s) in an email to support, and perhaps include screenshots of what it should have looked like as well as how it does. But I see that Mark has already said "no" to supporting problems with Incredimail formatting. And he *does* own Groups.io ... ... so you may just have to work around it. Or not. Shal GMF Owner |

Thanks, Shai. Since it's only these two members that I know of, it just seems strange that they both use Yahoo mail.

Re: Missing messages
Ann,
Could there be a setting in Yahoo mail that is causing thePossibly. Or maybe "doubtful". There is a "Group by conversation" feature in Yahoo Mail, so that might confuse them if they weren't used to it. But it seems unlikely that they would have changed that setting coincidentally. And the one "conversation" I have in my inbox doesn't seem confusing: the list shows a number for the number of messages, and opening the conversation shows the messages in one tall scroll. One thing I noticed recently was they invited me to try the "new" inbox. I think they rolled that out some months ago, but I very rarely visit so I just now saw it. So I wouldn't guess that to be the source of a "recent" change either. You could also double-check their subscriptions to be sure that they aren't using options in the Advanced Preferences expander to limit what messages they receive. But adjusting that would more likely cause them to receive only the *first* message of a topic, not the last. So I doubt that's it. And again there's the "recent change" question. Shal |

Matt,
When he goes there, the MEMBERS button/pull down menu only showsCheck that moderator's permissions. I reproduce your description when the moderator has "Approve Pending Members" but none of the three permissions which allow access to the member list. I've noticed some peculiar behavior of the Members list when a mod doesn't have all three of those permissions, I've reported to support but so far have received only the automated reply. Shal |

Now that Verizon mail is being run by said ISP, the same rules may also apply to those addresses. Both Yahoo and A..L use DMARC, which breaks email lists that are not configured to deal with it. When Yahoo first started using it, Yahoo Groups was not configured for it, and Yahoo subscribers of Yahoo Groups had their subscriptions messed up. Karen R. On 1/16/18 3:51 PM, Shal Farley wrote:
Anita, *In some cases, I believe A O L was one of them, it was observed that if a group message lands automatically in the spam folder then the user must mark it as "not spam", else if the user deletes it, or lets the service automatically delete it, that will also trigger unsubscription. That's bad behavior on the part of the email service, IMO, but not much Groups.io can do about it. |
