Re: Problem with Incredimail formatting (was: html)

Anita,

My group uses incredimail and sends letters with graphics. I was
testing this and one letter came back all disorganized and not the way
it should look.
"Came back"? I assume you're talking about back into your inbox. At which email service?

Can you look at that same message in the group's Messages pages? How does it look there?

I tried it with a letter without a side border and it works. I was
wondering if there is a setting I should be using or are you not
supporting this?
No, I think the default settings of Groups.io groups pass formatted (HTML) messages through pretty much untouched, except for appending the footer. I suppose it is possible that some kind of formatting, such as the side border, gets tangled up with the message footer and that's causing what you see.

Mainly the html is coming out distorted and is there a way to go
to traditional mail ...
As I mentioned for your other post, there isn't a "traditional" setting for Groups.io.

or can you fix this.
Not *me*, I'm just another Groups.io user (though I do own this particular group).

Perhaps you (or rather your group members) can just work around that problem by applying the "don't do that" remedy. That is, don't apply borders to the messages.

I am not impressed with your support as many of my letters here and
also to Mark are unanswered.
I can't speak for Mark, but GMF is a volunteer run group, not an official support group. So as Mike said, it may take more than a day. Things here run on "volunteer" time. That is, you get an answer when and if someone here feels like spending their own time to help you.

I wish the owners here would help me.
I was going to suggest that if the messages appear messed up on Groups.io's Message page, you could cite the group name and message number(s) in an email to support, and perhaps include screenshots of what it should have looked like as well as how it does.

But I see that Mark has already said "no" to supporting problems with Incredimail formatting. And he *does* own Groups.io ...

... so you may just have to work around it. Or not.
