HOW do I remove all the extraneous rows with out taking the one successful row out?
I will only comment on the "importing members". You can invite members in the free or basic plan.

About databases - hopefully someone else will comment.

Database #database

Hello

I am attempting to set up a database. It is very non-intuitive and at times not responsive. I really hope there are plans to make it more user friendly.
I gave up on importing members - saw only the prem version allows that anyway.

I made several attempts to create a database.? At first nothing showed up. Now I have multiple replica rows showing I can't delete.
HOW do I remove all the extraneous rows with out taking the one successful row out?

Help?

You might want to check your spam/junk folder.? Now and then a service or email client decides to put groups.io email there.

Does a member need to be approved before I can receive their completed questionnaire?
If you're using the Pending Subscription notice, that will have a reply address of groupname+owner so it should come to your email address via the site.

I wasn't sure if you want a screenshot of the message in the archives before or after showing the hidden text, so here are screenshots of both:

Possible to download YG cover photos for reuse in GIO?

I have transferred or recreated a number of groups from YG onto GIO. I have backed up messages/files/photos on the groups that were not full "easy transfers", via PG Offline. My question is whether there is a way to download existing cover photos from YG, which I had initially created and uploaded years ago but failed to keep the originals files accessible. It would be nice to be able to reuse some of these banner photos on the new groups rather than starting from scratch. I do not see any obvious way to download them from the YGs, nor can I see where they would be stored on the group site/settings. Any suggestions? Linda N

Re: Transfer queue wait time

Edward Borg

I currently have 711 groups ahead of mine.
This was because of an issue I had starting my transfer the first time.
It required me to delete my transfer request to fix it and start a new one.
Now will there be enough time to get my group transferred before Yahoo removes all of our messages?

I'd suggest printing out the Detailed Instructions at /g/GroupManagersForum/topic/detailed_instructions_on_how/39832225 to make sure you haven't overlooked something.? Once the invite is received by GIO, all you need to do is wait.

1) Did your messages Date-Year stamp come over properly?? I only received Month and Day not year, and given our messages span 20 years, its important to see the message's year and I am wondering if others had this issue.

In fact I have already paid. The Admin page show that my AmEx card had been charged and the payment received.

I would have expected taking the next step rather than a "Wait, we'll get back to you" message. In short, there's nothing I can do and there's nothing that Groups.io is doing. The only thing going on is that basically I've been chastised to not send anymore invitations to join my Yahoo group.

You say "Accept the invitation from the Yahoo Group". ?Do you mean TO the Yahoo Group from the groups.io Transfer email?

Have you paid for the year of Premium?

Margaret -- No, and I doubt that you have this issue, either.

Where are you looking? If looking at an individual message, hover your mouse cursor over the date/time at upper right and the entire date/timestamp will show up as a tooltip.

If you're looking at the message table/calendar on the home page, message indexing is currently lagging the transfer upload by about 17 hours. Wait at least that long and the problem should resolve itself.

2) We have 30k messages on the old Yahoo Groups.? For those of you with big sets of messages to transfer-- how long did it take you to get ALL your messages?? We did the expedite and it took a couple of days to get the first half (~16k), but I am still waiting on the other half of the messages (~16k).? Are you sure your transfer is actually done? If you haven't received a transfer summary email, it could still be underway.

The second question concerns where you are looking to get this information. If you're looking at your home page, that displays the number of topics, not messages. Check the message number of the most recent message and I'd bet that it's a lot closer to your expected figure.

Regards,
Bruce

As good a bit of evidence that it is spam or a phishing attack as you're likely to find. As it was from a non - member address, and you don't allow non - members to post its appearance in the Activity Log is entirely normal.

I can answer #1 sort of! Only previous years have the year showing. The current year is only month and date. We transferred some time ago and the years are there for 2018 and earlier. However perhaps someone who transferred a week or so ago can chime in.

Don,

I can't tell what you are trying to imply.

The message you reference appears to be a SPAM/phishing example.

There are settings in the Group Admin section for whether or not you want to Moderate or Block messages flagged as containing a virus.

And, of course, you have options for how non-member messages should be handled.
?
All I see is a message from a non-member being rejected. What is your concern?
