Access Membership?

As an owner, who do I access a list of my group's members?

So my President is concerned about the new additional Cost. Where are the ¡°Terms of Service¡± that this years cost is $200 and what next years cost is?

From my Club President

Seems a bit sketchy If it was originally $100. My thoughts are they should stick to that and not come up with an excuse to change it midstream.?

Who¡¯s to say we give $200 then a week later they want $300 etc. ?

I/we need to know the terms of the services they are offering, with all the details listed. I understand why we are moving away from Yahoo but this is an expense to ISC and many are not members. ?

Thanks, Jody Jones President ISC

Dave -- All members notices of type Invite (and Direct Add) are always "active." You select the one you want at the time of invitation, by pulling down the Notices menu in the Customize Message block. Or simply type the text you want into that block.

Doing so inserts a custom message of your choice into the middle of the invitation that is sent, where it says "The following message was included by [you]. Type some information into the Customize Message block while viewing the Invitation to be Sent section and you'll see what I mean.

The boilerplate text that brackets this inserted, custom message cannot be modified.

Hope this helps,

Re: I cant create a sub-group

I am not sure where you are trying to do it.
You say you enter the name.
You are actually creating an email address for the subgroup and the instructions say -?Cannot contain spaces, pluses, slashes, or underscores.
Check for that.

Scroll down to click the green button Create Subgroup.

If this doesn't work, perhaps you don't have permissions. For example, as moderator of this group, I haven't been given permission to create a subgroup (and I'm okay with that!). But I just checked on my other groups.
I am assuming you are doing it from the item Subgroup on the menu on the left side of your group homepage.?

I cant create a sub-group

Stinson Webmaster

I just created a new ¡°Group¡± but when I try to add a sub-group, I enter the name and description, and the page refreshes but the name is then missing. I re-enter the name and then I get a message that I don't have permission to access that page. I will post a screenshot or video in a few

Lock group

What happens when you lock the group? Can it be unlocked later on?

Re: ¡°Invitation To Be Sent¡± message

Make sure that only the ones you want are activated.
Click on a hyperlinked title.
You will see

Re: Can not get transfer request to show up in the "In Process" list

Hi Duane,
There is still a problem. I tested yahoo subscribe and I get that to different domains (I tested a gmail account and my work email) and both arrived in less than 2 minutes.
So could the problem be at groups.io?
Anyway you can check to see if there is a queue at groups for responses? it has been hours, how long do I wait before sending again? Can you see if I am in a queue? I have no problem in waiting if it will work but would rather not wait a day and then hear, you're too late to transfer stuff.

I have changed the name of my group, so I need to edit the ¡°Invitation To Be Sent¡± message because it has the old email addresses in there. ?The message doesn¡¯t appear to be editable. ?

How do I change the wrong addresses?

It might be worth contacting the originating member directly and get them to confirm that it was actually they who sent it and that nobody has hacked their email account.

Yes, after the year is up. (no refunds)? The other option is to try to move the group yourself.? Depending on how large the group is and how much information needs to be moved, you might find it a bargain.

There's no provision for importing data to a group here.? You can upload files and photos yourself though.? Take a peek at the instructions for doing a complete transfer at /g/GroupManagersForum/message/19673

Re: Subscribing by email failing for one user

Has anyone come across this or a possible solution?
Well maybe. Taking "scottishmoths" at face value then you are a UK - based group. It is thus entirely possible that your would - be subscriber has a btinternet.com email address, or perhaps btconnect.

A problem has been identified with sending emails with a BT address from an email client, whereby something along the route ignores and strips off the "+whatever" part of the intended recipient and sends it to whatever preceded the plus sign.

This was reported to BT a few weeks ago but AFAIK there has been no resolution to it yet. If your prospective member can send an email from his mail provider's web UI then it should get to the correct recipient address; tests done hitherto by me and others who are similarly affected have all worked correct if the web UI is used.

If this suggestion works please let us know later on in this thread.

Chris. (Also in the UK with a BT email address!)

Re: Easy Transfer cost #transfer

As of now (Oct. 2019), premium membership costs $220 for a year. Transferring from Yahoo Groups to groups.io apparently would require that I pay for a year of premium membership. I see in this thread (and elsewhere) that I can downgrade to basic after the transfer, but will I be able to do so after just a month and receive a refund for the balance of the year ($200)? Or will I have to eat the cost of a full year of other services that I don't need (or can live without) before downgrading?

Upgrade Plan to Yearly #transfer

I'm trying to upgrade to Yearly Premium but the charge is not going through. It shows my plan is Yearly Premium? but it shows the next payment due on 10-20 and that is past. The only charge to my credit card is $10 for a monthly plan I chose when I first signed up. I want to transfer a Yahoo group but I'm stuck because my upgrade will not go through. Can anyone help me?

Thank you,
Alex Zaleski
