What settings do you have in Yahoogroups that result in there being a Reply All option? Is that Reply All option in the Yahoogroups web interface or in e-mail programs? It appears that the options in the dropdown list under Reply To in the group settings apply only to the web interface, and doesn't have any effect on messages being sent via e-mail. I wonder, can anyone here please confirm that that is so? The way it works now in Groups.io is that Reply goes to both the Sender as well as the entire Group, and Reply All goes to both the Sender as well as the entire Group /twice/.How do you get a Reply All button in Groups.io's web interface? I fiddled with my group's settings and could not achieve it. Or does it only appear for messages that were sent to the group after the setting was changed? Samuel |

Gary, they don't have to worry about passwords.
See?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Logging-In Groups.io makes it simple and free to log in ¡ª you don't even need a password:
Your email address is your account ID. These steps log you in to Groups.io, and to any groups that you subscribe to using the same address. You will stay logged in for 30 days, extended each time you visit. If your login expires you can repeat this process any time you wish. Poll Responses
#polls
Some of my members are replying to the poll message with their answer rather than dealing with the "hassle" of recovering their forgotten or never-created login password.? Is there any way for me as moderator to manually add their responses to my membership poll?

It appears that polls can have only one question?

Is each question a separate poll? Do members have to go to separate pages to respond or do the questions appear on one page?

Reply vs Reply All
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWe recently transferred our group from Yahoo
to Groups.io. Our group's Reply To option is set to "Group and
Sender" thinking that would work the same as it did in Yahoo
Groups, where clicking Reply sends a response only to the Sender
and Reply All goes to both the sender and the group. However, it
doesn't work this way in Groups.IO. Our membership became comfortable with Yahoo
using Reply to send an answer only to the person who sent the
message, and Reply All when the answer was appropriate for the
entire group. The way it works now in Groups.io is that Reply goes to both the Sender as well as the entire Group, and Reply All goes to both the Sender as well as the entire Group twice. Yes, two copies go to the entire group when using Reply All. This makes no sense. Am I missing some other Setting that should accompany the choice of "Group and Sender" to make it behave logically? I could swear that when I was testing
Groups.io last fall before our group's transfer that Reply vs
Reply All worked just the same as in Yahoo. It was one of the
things I had on my checklist to test. If the "Group and Sender"
option is actually working as intended, I would like to formally
request a change to behave as it did at Yahoo. Virginia -- VP |

Hi Bruce,
. If I understand correctly, this notice is sent when you reach 80% of quota,I tested this by loading 10GB of files into my premium plan and it did not work.? I received no notification at 80% or even 100% when the upload function became unavailable.? I reported this to support on 30-Jan-19 (ticket number 8261) but have had no response so far. Controlling the e-mail you receive from Groups.io
Brian Vogel
Hello All,
? ? ? ? ? ? ?I recently posted a link to a document I wrote (and, I will warn readers this time in advance, its target audience is screen reader users, so the instructions get a bit screen reader centric) regarding how one can actually set up the exquisite level of control Groups.io offers the e-mail participant over what messages they will, and will not, see and in what format.? I figured a separate topic wouldn't be a bad idea. ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Both these documents are on my Google Drive, the only difference between the two being that one is in MS-Word docx format and the other PDF. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?? Thanks, It's ticked already. One down, [hopefully] one to go. When I send an email to the groupname@groups.io it does not show in the messages list on the groups.io website either.Okay, that's an entirely different problem. Most likely, you're attempting to post from an account that's not subscribed to the group. You can confirm this by review of the Activity log (Admin>Activity). You'll likely find an entry along these lines:? "Non-member noname@... attempted to send message 'not receiving emails' via email" If you have a previous group email in your possession, look at the footer. Your subscribed email address can be found in square brackets [ ] at the bottom-right of the message. Send from that address and it should post. You can also look up your subscribed email address by opening your subscriber record in the Members List (Admin>Members).? Hope this helps, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |
