Re: Hotmail/Outlook email
Ken,
from [email protected]Note that most members' email addresses are sent unmodified in the From field, so a test on the From field won't work for them. (Unless you list them all). If possible, use another field, like Sender, List-ID, or even a match on the group's Subject tag ("[GMF]" here). Ann,
Starting late this afternoon EDT, I stopped receiving owner messages.Check your Subscription settings, Owner Email section, down at the bottom of the page. You might not be set to receive All (owner) Emails. Otherwise, check your email service for an errant Spam filter. Re: How to find status page for transfer
I figured out my problem. My transfer was blocked because of a 2018 request to transfer the same Yahoo group. It was still pending and I had to ask the person who requested the prior transfer to remove the request Thanks?for everyone's help here John Ladd On Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 12:52 PM Duane <txpigeon@...> wrote: On Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 02:50 PM, John Curran Ladd wrote: |

Select all using the upper left box, scroll to the bottom, select Change Moderation from the Action box, select Use Group Moderation Setting from the pop up, click Change.? You'd need to repeat this for each page of 100 people.? Infinite Scroll is also possible, but you'd need to scroll top to bottom to top to bottom to get them to all show on the page, selected, and changed. (It won't select the ones not showing.) ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJust a note that the download from Y! groups takes place much faster that the upload to groups.io. Mark has indicated that downloads from Y! were recently?completing within?about 24 hours after getting the go ahead to move. Uploading, on the other hand,?takes much longer to weave all the data together on the groups.io side.
?
So when your group seems to be out a long way and keeps falling back by people paying the premium for immediate transfer, keep in mind that all?your data has likely already been saved, and you're just waiting for the upload process. When Mark asked for all transfer requests to be in by December 1, I suspect he's trying to give the system a cushion in case Yahoo starts to hang up and get glitchy.

Timeline is about the same for my 3 groups.? It's a bit disappointing that it takes so long, but I'm not sure they promised any faster.
Yes, the first step after the invite is accepted, and [email protected]?is made a moderator, is to copy the group off from Yahoo.? That is the only step which really needs to complete by Dec. 14.? Most of us are waiting for the content to be written to the new site (so called Step 3), which is pretty much independent of Yahoo, and has no hard schedule. |

Yes, the header on the GIO's Yahoo transfer page says "Due to the pending discontinuation of many parts of Yahoo Groups, we ask that all transfer requests be given the go ahead no later than December 1, 2019."? That's less than two weeks before Yahoo pulls the plug, and current transfers are taking much longer.
I'm no technical expert, and don't know exactly how this works.? Does GIO take a snapshot of the Yahoo group once it accepts the transfer invitation, sort of like the Wayback machine, so that content is preserved? |

I'm terribly afraid all the groups won't get transferred before yahoo deletes everything on December 14th.? I'm trying to transfer four groups....and only one has actually made it into the queue and it's at something like #853.? At the rate things are moving, there's no way groups.io will be caught up by December 14th.? I'm hoping yahoo will have a little pity and wait a bit longer.
