Re: Member chronic mail delivery failure
Brandy,
I have one member who cannot post to groups.io at all. She keeps This appears to be a message from her email service, saying that it was unable to deliver the message to your group. I'm not sure what "(reading confirmation)" is trying to tell us, but "Please retry later" seems to imply that they'll take some action to cure the problem. This message was created automatically by the mail system As best as I can unwind that ball of header text it seems to confirm that the message was never delivered to Groups.io, and stopped at her email service's outbound servers. I think your member will have to take this information to her service's technical support and have them explain/correct the problem. Re: question on constant bouncing
Hello sugar, I'm sure that it's more than likely because you receive a lot of email from a lot of different places, and and can cause your Gramps I owe account to bounce. If you have a lot of email in your inbox.

Re: question on constant bouncing
Sugar,
Can someone shed a little light on what would have my account bounceThe only clue we would have would come from the response given by your email service when they rejected messages from Groups.io. As it happens there are no bounce reports in your subscription to GMF so I can't tell what might be going on. You should be able to get a more comprehensive picture (encompassing all of your group subscriptions) in your Account pages. Go to your Account (from the menu under your name in the upper right) then click onto the "Recent Bounces" page. The text in the third column ("Reason") will tell you what your email service had to say. If you need help understanding it, feel free to copy/paste it to us. The top (most recent) bounce should be the most relevant to your recent experience. Re: Mesages not making it to the group
Don,
Yet another data point. I can't approve the messages. I check them,That's even more peculiar. They shouldn't uncheck, they should vanish from Pending, to appear in Messages. As I mentioned off-list, I sent a second message but it has not appeared in Messages (nor by email). Member chronic mail delivery failure
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have one member who cannot post to groups.io at all. She keeps delivery failure messages, and these are from several devices when both sending a new message and trying to reply to an existing one. Here is her latest bounce message. Ideas on what's happening here? She's never been able to post to the groups since switching over, but she gets mail.As an aside, posting from the web directly won't work for her. She needs to use email. > This message was created automatically by the mail system (ecelerity).A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of itsrecipients. This is a permanent error. Re: Email to group falling into a black hole
Thank you Shal and Gerald. I have scoured the activity log and there is no sign that the messages ever arrived. I suppose some combination of local wi-fi or router being down and some failure of the mail client could account for it. Enough time has passed that the messages were evidently not held up in the maze of store and forward. The problematic messages were sent from a Mac, but I have had issues on Windows during Msft updates lately in which apps suddenly become unresponsive and entries disappear. Something similar may have? happened. Since no harm was done, other than a tiny undeserved chink in groups.io's reputation for reliability, I will quit kicking this sleeping dog. Closed-no resolution. Thanks again, and best, Marv |

Re: SubGroups
According to the Pricing page, /static/pricing, you can have an unlimited number of subgroups.? It would be up to you to sort out what area they cover.? If you plan to store Files, Photos, and/or Attachments, you'd need to consider the storage limits.

There should be a technical explanation in your account of why it bounced, i.e. "550 5.1.0 66.175.222.12 blocked. Refer to Error Codes section at for more information. Re: Groups.io site updates
#changelog
Hi Shal,
This week's change log:I think this week's change log is actually at I'm also trying to understand more about the change regarding clean links etc.? A search on beta suggests that this is related to editing pending messages: ? Can someone clarify what exactly this function is cleaning?? Is it just related to UTM tracking references on a URL (see for a description of these) or does it do something completely different? Thanks Andy |
Re: Is there a problem with Outlook.com
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
Pamela,
There was a problem with outlook.com before putting everything in the spam folder.? However, I think that was corrected.? I know I have outlook.com and have no problem receiving messages from this group, the beta group, or the group I am Co-Owner,
