Re: Freedom of speech
I am a veteran of the vi vs. Emacs flame wars of thirty years ago. (Emacs partisan). I look back with nostalgia. They were great fun. But not for everyone. Thin skins did not do so well. Every group

Re: photo albums
Richard, That is correct. The resizing is applied as the photos are uploaded (or copied by the transfer agent); or received in Email or posted via New Topic or Reply on the group's web pages. There is

Re: photo albums
Duane: I had the same problem with extra large photos, and was advised that changing the Setting only affected to new ones and did not affect the old ones. I have not tried to verify that. Richard

Re: attachments

Re: attachments
You might want to go to the Settings page, then select the Default Sub Settings at the top.? Scroll down to Max Attachment Size to see what it's set for, then change it to No Limit if that's what

Re: attachments
Shal thanks. I found that and set it to no limit. This way it comes as a picture instead of a link. Many of my members had this also so I told them how to change it. Works great now. Anita

Re: Not Receiving Pending Subscriber Notifications
I also saw an issue along similar lines last week. I took a new member through the process of setting up a new account in Groups.io but no validation/activation email was received and not in spam etc.

Jim, Unfortunately it appears that Subscription Approval Needed and Message Approval Needed emails are not currently processed by Groups.io's bounce-tracking mechanism. So they won't appear there. I

Re: time zone question
Does this mean that all subscribers that did not join Groups.io before subscribing to a group are stuck with Pacific time, unless they then go online to correct it at: Account: Preferences: Timezone

Re: Sent Invitation Page
Yes, using the Remove/Cancel Invite choice only removes it from the list (and invalidates the link in the email that was sent to them, as it does with the ones you already removed), it doesn't change

One of the things I appreciate about goups.io is the feature to moderate new members but they go off moderation automatically if there have been no problems. On Yahoo it took 5 screens to take someone
