Re: Font on my laptop is tiny all of a sudden???

Holding the Ctrl key while scrolling the mouse wheel will change the zoom.? It unintentionally "happens to me" all the time. You should see a spyglass in the URL bar if the tab is zoomed + or - of your default setting.? Clicking it?lets you reset to the default zoom. |

I have?the same?problem with one of my groups, but I have been assuming it's a gmail issue. Does anyone else in your group have the problem, and are those who do gmail users? -P. Be sure to change the zoom setting for each of your groups, especially if you access them via a browser bookmark. I have apparently the same problem: When I access one or two of my particulr GIO groups the type has reverted to tiny. My other GIO groups never do this.
It is easy enough to enlarge the type using ['command' plus '+'] but not sure why occasionally the type shows up tiny when the page opens. It's a bit clumsy. Is there something that I am overlooking which causes this? TIA Paul M. Owner - CostaRicaLiving ¡ª https: //groups.io/g/CostaRicaLiving == |

How do I fix it?Is this for groups.io specifically, or every site? Is it in your browser only, or everything on your desktop? Try changing your zoom setting (Ctrl +), or Ctrl-0 will generally set it to 100%. Bruce Check out the groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |

Am I correct that a member in a hard bounce state (red "B") cannot post messages to the group? Pete -- As others have said, this is hard to test, because it's hard to create the problem. I wonder how one can induce a test address to go to red bounce, and if so, how long it would take, after all there's a certain existing condition (a bug more-or-less), where invalid addresses do not go to red bounce as they should if the messages sent to them are very few and far in between, see my question no.4 and Mark's reply right below it. All of the needed files are uploads into our files folder.Well, lemme see...that was more than two months ago... My previous suggestion stands:? If the problem persists, make sure they're actual files and not links to some other storage location that has since gone dead or requires some kind of authentication. Such "files" have a different icon and File Type (see appended screenshot). Failing that, a screenshot of exactly what you're seeing would aid us in troubleshooting. Re: Why are members getting a confirm email message
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIn addition, I would check (how?) to be sure the message isn't a phishing attack.? Saying it appears to be not connected to the January event suggests additional caution.? With the overall RI issue being well known, it makes for a tempting target for attack.Greg Frances wrote:

If you go to Admin, Members, and use the filters, you will see how many in your group must reverify their Groups.io account. I bet very few of your members must do it. My suggestion - temporarily put everyone on Moderate if your group is unmoderated. Have your list of those that do still need to reverify. Prepare a message in Admin, Settings, Member Notices, Reject Notice to send to the person when rejecting the message, ?saying that they do not need to reverify. /helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/managing-member-notices/rejected-message-notice?single=true Also if they are one of those that must reverify, suggest they log into the group and that will reverify their account. You can also send a message to all members. I thanked them for signalling that they wanted to stay with the group. However that doesn't reverify them. They must log in so that the Groups.io software knows!? When the traffic dies down, go back to your usual unmoderated (or stay moderated). For background, etc. see /static/reverifyfaq

Why are members getting a confirm email message
A number of the members of my group Lost Coast Kennel Club are getting emails from groups.io to confirm their email addresses.?
This appears to be separate from the RI/RS issue in January.? Does anyone know what this is about? I am not seeing an outgoing message asking them to do this, but I see their replies confirming their email. Not sure if this was originally sent to just one new member and others are just confirming in a chain reaction.? Tina - LCKC |
