I use Tbird for my email client. It does allow wildcards.? The yahoo groups that
I run on Digest did not require changes to my filters ... as long as the group?
name was essentially the same.

?Thunderbird's filters are very flexible. You should have no trouble changing your filter to use the Sender field instead of the From field. In the field list click on Customize and under New message header type in Sender, then click Add and OK. That will work with both Y!Groups and Groups.io groups, individual and digest (and summary).

If you're uncomfortable with that, use To instead.
