I'm going to guess that Groups.io puts their subscribers on a shared IP, or several shared IPs.? This means that the poor sending habits of some groups will ruin the sender reputation of everyone else on that shared IP.? This affects the deliverability of everyone's mail.? This happened to us with Yahoo Groups.? The IPs tanked because of spammers residing on the same IP, hurting not only everyone's delivery, but also their own domain's sender reputation.??
By using our own dedicated IP through our email delivery partner, our sender reputation is our own.? We are responsible for keeping it in good shape and thereby getting good delivery of emails coming from our domain.
I started a group to see if I could find a setting.? This may be something that would need to be answered by Mark as I don't see anything that allows configuration of the outbound mail.
