Re: Automatic Deletion of Members If Message Marked As Spam #poll

Flag them and then set them to no mail. That way they can be identified by the owner/moderator and they can address this with the user in question. It also stops any more messages going to them.

I have seen Yahoo flag messages for no apparent reason coming from .? I suspect it's on purpose as they are loosing so many to . I have even seen messages on Yahoo groups that are blocked, delayed and even bounced when is mentioned.

I think you have missed the point that the non - delete suggestion was not to "just flag them as marking as spam".

The suggested alternative was to put those members affected on to No emails, so that they would still have web access. You have brought a "third way" into the discussion, and as Duane states it is a route that could lead to all sorts of trouble. Not a good idea IMHO. Whatever happens there has to be something that stops emails being sent to members where there has been a "spam" marker until such time as something has been done by that member to sort things out.

Your idea doesn't address that.
