Peter -- I agree this would be my preference and is generally how we handle things in GMF.?As Glenn also mentioned, my main group supports a parent organization for which each member has paid dues. I also had a board of directors to answer to; in fact, some of the board members were the worst offenders when it comes to drifting off-topic.
Thus, I've never had the luxury of being heavy-handed; and over time my frustration built to the point that I handed the reins over to someone else.
Anyway, my previous response (and I suspect those of others) was on the premise that?Brenda has a far better understanding of her situation than we do. If a group owner isn't willing to go through the warn/moderate/ban/reinstate cycle I think they can be forgiven for that.?
