I have discovered the hard way that the ‘Welcome Message’ for new members uses, by default, the name you chose for your group when you set it up. If you subsequently change the group name before sending invitations, those responding to the invite join the group with its new name, but get a welcome message with the old name, and when they try to access the email addresses within it get a message saying the group does not exist.

So if you change a group name, make sure you change the details in the Welcome Message and any other Member Notices
