This was a bit confusing to me when I first came over to GIO.?
The email address in the transferred YG is registered in GIO. This means that a GIO account is established and that means the person attached to the email address will continue to receive emails from their transferred YG.
However, IF the person goes to the GIO website and enters that same email address trying to get website group access, they will be asked to create a password. Then they use their email and password to log into GIO.
However, IF the person enters a different email address, one that was not associated with their YG transfer, then they will be registering with GIO under that (second) email address (and password) and will not be able to access their GIO transferred YG.?
There's been quite a few discussions dealing with this because people don't always realize which YGs they were in under which email addresses and so they might end up with various various GIO accounts that they may or may not want to merge.?
So back to your question.?
Their YG email address was registered with GIO.
Even though registered, they cannot log into the GIO website until they set up a password.?
