When they are transferred from YahooGroups by Groups.io transfer process, they are migrated with the proper status. (Except no mail, unless the new group doesn't permit no mail. If so, the person's subscription would be Special Notices.) The only issue is that they must login with their Yahoo Groups email address. Once they login to Groups.io, they can change their email address.
