All Owners are equal, and Groups.io does not discriminate between the "real" owner and a reserve one. It is thus possible for an appointed owner to ddemote the real one and even remove them from the group they created. The same risk exists if someone appointed as a moderator is given
Set Moderator Privileges as one of their Permissions. An owner has that permission by default, along with all the others.
