We've just transferred from Yahoo to Groups.io a few days ago so I'd like to ask a couple of questions. I searched through the archives here, but didn't find an answer, so I apologize if this was already asked before:
- is there a way to turn on / off the highlighting of the messages that are new / already read? E.g. if the message is new, the heading is displayed in blue, whereas if a message has been read, the heading is displayed in grey. Some members are reporting that this is happening for them automatically, but for others it is not. E.g. I'm on Windows and Android, and there is no distinction between messages that are new or old (read). I looked at the Account setting, Group settings, etc, but can't see where to set this. Or perhaps it has to do with the system / browser of the end user??
- in regards to editing messages that were already posted - is there a difference between how members receive them (once or twice) and does it depend on whether the editing is done by a moderator or not? E.g. if my subscription is on "No Email", then by all logic, there should be no danger of seeing the same message twice (as it does not appear on the mailing list twice and I don't get emails in the first place). But if my subscription is set to "All messages", would I receive the edited post twice - the original and the edited version? And would the doubling up depend on whether it was edited by the moderator or a regular user?
Any info on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
