Diane -- Yes, when your invitation is accepted you will receive an email from groups.io saying so and providing further instructions.
To this point, accepting the invitation has been taking a day or two...but as of this morning Mark said that they had "accepted all invites up through last night," so hopefully any sent today will go more quickly ().
