Dean,
While I have found groups.io to be easy to use, some of my older group
members seem to think they are now in alien world, lost and with out
hope. Is there a simple" how to use.io guide" I could send out to
members? I did look but did not see one as I have things for IO that I
have been able to copy and paste to send to members.
GMF's wiki could be a place to keep such information. If you find good information you could add a link to it in the Wiki, or if you've written good information please consider contributing to the wiki. I've made a couple of starts there, but neither page is complete.
GMF's wiki has public visibility, meaning that you can point your members there without them needing to join GMF. If you are contributing to the wiki remember not to put any private information there.
Editing Wiki pages is pretty easy - the edit tool is very similar (or identical) to the message editor used to create posts and replies. Creating a new page and linking to it from the home page could be easier, but it isn't too difficult. If you need help with the process let me know.
Note that all revisions to Wiki pages are kept and can be compared. Just as edited posts can. Each revision shows who made the revision and when.
Do you think asking Mark to add a Start a New Topic into the footer of
emails would be possible? It could be right after Group Home and I
think would make things easier for some who are not good with computers
to start with being more comfortable.
Sure. Ask in beta@ - I recommend including the hashtags "#messages #suggestions" in the subject.
