You can't go from private archives to public archives. I'd just email Mark in this case, since there are no members yet. He's very accomodating. J

I believe you can't re-use the same group name if you delete your group.
However, there is a message from Shal saying that you could ask Mark to free up the name. (I used the new search and it found it! Hurrah!)
