Ok, one can right click on the list of topics, copy the link address.

You end up with a link address:
/g/GroupManagersForum/topic/permalink_to_topic/29189544?p=,,,50,0,0,0::recentpostdate%2Fsticky,,,50,2,0,29189544

Yuck.

But can edit it down to this:
/g/GroupManagersForum/topic//29189544

Convoluted.? Needs a "button"!
