Paul's suggestion gets around that perfectly; it just uses more words
than my suggestion, but that hardly matters.
Notably, the Login page itself has it as "Email me a link to log in" - that's the button that takes you to the page under discussion.
/loginSo part of the problem is that my instructions cut out the step of starting at the general login page, and clicking the button there.
But I think the other half of the problem is that the sendloginlink page lacks any text guidance. Perhaps it should have at least a sentence spelling out what the button does. Or even some of the additional info from our wiki page (e.g. "watch for an email to arrive at that address").
I can see an argument for the two pages having different text on the buttons. Or perhaps for the login page to have a link rather than a button. The distinction between going somewhere and initiating an action can be subtle sometimes.
