Hi Everybody,
I'm a newcomer and have been reading your emails with great interest for about a week. Thank you all for being so committed. It has helped me greatly reading your conversations back and forth. I was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago, 1 1/2 centimeters and they were willing to cut it out, with lymph nodes, hysterectomy, radiation, chemo, and drugs for life. Anything I wanted. I said I wanted 1 month to do Dr. Richard Schultze's 30 day Intensive Cleaning and Detox program. They thought I was nuts. I did a 30 day juice fast with liver/gall bladder, kidney/bladder, and colon cleansing. This program included enemas, hot/cold shower treatments and artificially induced fevers. I never worked so hard for a month in my life. I was sure my 30 day mamogram would show great improvement, but Tuesday was a really hard day when I was told it had grown 1/2 centimeter. I discovered Dr. Budwig's program part way through this time and am using it now. The surgeon called today and wants to cut it out, the radiologist said it looks very aggressive from the mamo and the increase in such a short time. I am premenopausal and the tumor is only very weakly responsive to estrogen. I have agreed to have it taken out, but NO lymph nodes, NO radiation, NO chemo and NO drugs. I guess I am conflicted because I don't have time to see if Dr. Budwig's protocol will work for me. My reasoning behind having the surgery would be to take the load off my body to help it heal. Any thoughts on this thinking?? Also half of my family has been diagnosed with lymphoma in the last 4 years and I am wondering if my body is fighting something else too. I am currently taking about 6 TBS of FO everyday...it's only been about 4 days. Also after surgery I am going straight to a Gerson clinic where they have agreed I can continue with the CC/FO. The time pressure is really tough. If I wait too long...you know the rest. Also, just for general info, I called Barleans yesterday, told them I was a cancer patient (they were really really nice) and their special rates are $16.25 for 32oz bottles. A $75 order will get you free shipping, under $75 it is $5 shipping. Sorry this was so long...ANY imput will be greatfully received. Kind Regards, Janet |

As far as I can tell my path report says Her2/neu2+/pending FISH analysis/Interpretation- Equivocal. The FISH report says no amplification of this gene. I don't really understand this, can you help? Regarding mixing the two therapies, they seem to be very compatible, Gerson focusing on juicing every hour, along with some suppliments, like potassium, coffee enemas for detox (sounds wierd I know). He includes FO and CC in his protocol (although not blended I think, I will blend mine). It is mainly really healthy living/diet plus the suppliments that bring your body chemistry in balance. I like the idea of being under the care of a wholistic practicioner and having blood work done every month. I didn't see anything in either program that looked in conflict. He was a great admirer of Dr. Budwig and I think that is why he included her work in his protocol. It seemed a good well rounded approach, but I am shooting in the dark. I was so stunned to find out I had breast cancer...went in for a routine mamo, no symptoms had a pap smear 2 weeks previous and the nurse practicioner examined me and felt nothing, no history in my family, don't wear a bra, I exercise, I'm in every low risk catagory except I've never been pregnant. I really expected to find out I had lymphoma, because something wierd is happening in my family. Was considering the new Budwig clinic in Florida, but am overwhelmed with choices to make. Thanks for your time and imput. Kind regards, Janet |

I think your reasoning is excellent. Reduce the tumor burden and continue with the Budwig protocol. There are others on this list that chose not to have surgery and are seeing their tumors shrink. But you must do what your "gut" tells you is the right thing for you. All the best to you as you launch your healing program. BarbF |

Hi Cheryl, thank you so much for your warm welcome. You can't imagine
the feeling when I read that a healer told you Budwig/Gerson combination is very powerful. I almost cried. I have been doing research on my own for a month and this is my first try at alternative and these were my top two choices. I am actually very healthy, no physical symptoms or problems (other than worried sick about this and I'm going for some hypnotherapy tomorrow). I am still considering surgery to take the load off, mainly because how aggressive it is and because of my family's lymphoma. I will keep you all posted, and many thanks to all of you who wrote...Ren, Esther, Barb, Cindy, Rhoda and all the rest. Hugs to all of you, Janet progress with the Gerson/Budwig protocol mix. From: "jjohnsonpesenti" <janettheflowerfarm@...> I did a 30 day juice fast with liver/gall bladder, kidney/bladder,Imagine if you had not done the cleansing program, it have grown more! The cleansing is only the first step up to better health. The next will be the mind, cleansing it of toxic thoughts. I discovered Dr. Budwig's program part way through this time and am using it now. The surgeon called today and wants to cut it out, the >radiologist said it looks very aggressive from the mamo and the >increase in such a short time.Did you ask how they can rate the agressiveness from the mammo? Always question their diagnosis and their statements. That's the first rule. Do not put complete faith in the doctor. You have to have complete faith in yourself. There is a doctor within you. I am premenopausal and the tumor is only very weakly responsive toHow have they established the estrogen receptors. Have you had a needle biopsy? My reasoning behind having the surgery would be to take the load >off my body to help it heal. Any thoughts on this thinking??I don't know where this statement came from. I suspect a doctor, but the removal of tumors that are in my opinion less than 5cm is not going to give your immune system a break. I have no stats, only what I have read in books and studies, but the rate of recurrence of cancer in people who have had surgery does not change. In fact the anaesthetic is detrimental to the immune system. It has been said that the anaesthetic will remain in the body for up to 12 months. Also half of my family has been diagnosed with lymphoma in the last >4 years and I am wondering if my body is fighting something else >too.Do you live in a highly populated area? In Israel the government, after consultation with the scientists and researchers have banned some chemicals, I don't know which ones, that were known to cause breast cancer. Their breast cancer incidence has dropped dramatically since then. So look in your cupboards, the air you breath, the water you drink and even the sprays you use in the garden or kitchen to kill insects or clean surfaces with, if these have toxic chemicals in them. I bet you they have. I am currently taking about 6 TBS of FO everyday...it's only been >about 4 days. Also after surgery I am going straight to a Gerson >clinic where they have agreed I can continue with the CC/FO.I think the main diff. with JB and Gerson is the coffee enemas and the fo/cc I believe that they would compliment each other. I seem to remember reading somewhere that JB said she would get results from this diet in 3 months. The cancer of the breast I have continued to grow, but I persevered and under the supervision of an excellent Russian naturopath, I got results in 4 months. You will need to go in the achives messages to get my history. My story is too long to explain. But in short one tumor reduced to 25 % with no further growth. |
Janet,
2 years ago when I was first dx, I was e+ and then they said her2+, but when they sent the sample to the US for a FISH test ( this was done so that I could qualify for a study; be very cautious when they say they want you in a study for a new drug!)and the test came back as negative. This proves that a second opinion is always worth it, and that I trusted my gut instinct that it was impossible that I was her2+. Of course I also declined chemo. Incidentally I had a masectomy when I was first dx and a year later here I am with a dxs again. I had 2 nodes affected of the 13 they removed. I had 1-2 swallon nodes recently, but I am sure they have reduced when I checked them today. I have been putting a poultice of plantain on them 2x a day. I pick these from the garden. Anna |

"Always question
their diagnosis and their statements." EXCELLENT advice, Anna! I agree 100 percent! Question! Question! Question! When I went to a surgeon to have him examine the tumor in my neck, he began to say, "OK, we're going to do a CAT Scan of the tumor, and of the front back and sides of your head..." I actually cut him off, which I shouldn't have done---but I was already feeling so disgusted with the oncologist who gave me 20 CT scans between 1989 and 1992, that I was impatient with him. I interrupted the surgeon before he could finish talking about a CT scan, and said, "No, we are not doing ANY CT scans. We are doing an MRI." He was taken aback, but he agreed to do an MRI rather than a CT scan. He, too, did not know how much radiation a person gets from a CT scan. It is scandalous, even criminal, that so very few mainstream medical people know how much radiation CT scans deliver, though they prescribe them out of hand and as a matter of course! |

Hi Anna, Thank you so much for your nice emails. I have been so overwhelmed with everything, I'm sorry it took me so long to answer you. After the mamogram they did a core biopsy...ER/PR weakly positive at 20% Her 2+ but FISH came back negative. I got to spend 20 minutes with the radiologist in her office looking at the mamograms...the long fingers (not the technical term) made her believe that it was aggressive, as opposed to a nice round lump. I do question everything and have made quite a few people very unhappy! I am working on the mental part too, through hypnotherapy and meditation, I bought a rebounder yesterday, and a Gerson practicioner came through my house and CLEANED it out. She threw away everything from detergents to mint flavored dental floss! The wierd thing that is going on with my family and lymphoma...It can't be genetic because both my mother and father have it...the only thing I can think of is when I was a child we lived on a beautiful ranch way back in the country and the guy 2 miles up the road had a septic tank service/wrecked car service and dumped all that stuff on his property. We all had well water...who knows. I just wrote Karl about my discoveries just before going to see my surgeon, radiofrequency ablation, instead of surgery. I gave a little overview in that email. If you're interested let me know. Did you have radiation or chem after your surgery? I know that if I have either of those I will compromise my immune system so much that this problem with the lymphoma will rear its ugly head. My dad has never spun out of the radiation he had. Thank you for your kind emails. It has been such a support, I don't feel alone. Hugs, Janet |

I happened to know a gerson person in my area...but if you go to their site www.gerson.org they have a list of people who are trained...not cheap tho. But it was worth it, I learned so much. A hint...anything that smells or has any chemical base is GONE! |

cells, which your body has been doing for years. So remember that cancer is an immune system breakdown, that needs tender loving care not annihilation. The radiofrequency ablation-- is that where they give you a glucose blocker injection and then use radiowaves to kill the cancer cells? Interesting that your fish test for her2+ also came back negative I wonder how many people get a fish test to confirm a possible misdiagnosis? Anna ----- Original Message -----

Everyone marvels that I stay healthy on chemo with no sleep (toddler) and am able to cook, clean, get some work done, etc. . . I have had almost no side effects. The surgeries caused much more damage, from where I'm standing. And radiation, they are trying hard to talk me into it, but I think I'll do the Budwig instead. I am exceeeeeedingly uncomfortable with radiation. I've done extensive studies of the Nevada testing in the 50's and the after effects and can't see purposely exposing myself to radiation. Any thoughts on the Budwig Protocol working even in areas compromised by multiple surgeries? My doctors say the diet, just like chemo, can't get to that part of the body that has been so damaged. thanks, vanessa |

What do the Gerson people recommend as a soap for simple things like dish washing and clothes? The Gerson and Budwig approach are a good match. Don't spend a lot of time as to why or how you got where you are. Just look ahead. You will get better and on that journey will learn so much about what your body needs for good health. The less you are able to avoid traditional medicine the better it will be for your well being. They simply have no clue. Take care and keep us posted, Nelson & Jenora ----- Original Message -----

Sorry to jump in midstream¡.I just wanted to let you know that I had Hodgkin
¡¯s Lymphoma. I did go through chemo and radiation but also stuck to the Budwig diet. I was also worried about my immune system during treatment as the treatments ruin it so I started taking Maitake mushroom extracts. During treatment my WBC was very low and I never got sick. I still take it and don¡¯t get sick¡even when everyone in my family is. If you want to know more about it please feel free to email me. Take care and good luck to you, Jennifer |

There was a time when I used Agaricus Blazei Muril [?] mushroom extract for 3 months and felt it was helpful. It was also expensive. I believe that with any of the medicinal mushrooms the main active ingredient is Beta Glucan. I bought a kilo of it quite a while ago and still have some left. I have had the same kind of experience that Jennifer had. Thanks, Jennifer. Cliff * Jennifer Buck wrote: Sorry to jump in midstream.I just wanted to let you know that I had Hodgkin |
