Using Jocoque in making Quark
For the last 6 months, I have been living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The cottage cheese here leaves a lot to be desired. I have found a product called "jocoque" which after googling it, is supposed to be something between buttermilk and sour cream. It is a cultured milk product. I have not purchased it yet. I would like to do the following: Add 1 part jocoque to 3 parts light or non-fat milk. If I left this to clabber, then I think I would have something resembling buttermilk. I could do this a few more times to bring down the fat contact. Then I could make quark. Does this sound like a plan and would it be still considered a sulphurated protein? Thanks! |

I know she said no animal fats, but did she specifically say, somewhere else that eggs are not allowed? Maybe we could do some eggs without oil, or with a little coconut oil. Or maybe add a little oleolox after cooking or in the very last moments. I would love to hear what you, Sandra and others have to say on this. I was a cookieholic, but I miss eggs even more! Sure would love to scramble them once in a while, or use in cooking. Maybe once a month? By the way, I went 10 days without coughing up blood!! Praise the Lord. First time I've gone over 3 days since it started in April. Then Sat. & Sun. just specks! Still feeling great! Can't wait to see my Dr. again in late Sept. He will be amazed that I am still around. Guess I should write a litter to Stanford Hospital too and let them know how well the BP is doing! They will fall over!! In His Hands, Susan |
Re: going to india
Franz,
My wife is on BP for the last 35 days. I live in Bangalore, India. I am using FO from FALCON, who produce the cold-pressed FO along with other essential oils. For your info, the contact person is Mr. jaikishan, 09845628339 or email him on falcon_global@... Sauekraut, I make it at home after buying cabbage from health-stores like Nilgiris or Namdharis which are spread across city and country. high quality Flax-seeds are also available in these stores. Apart from paneer, you can also use the the low-fat, high protein cheeses available in these stores. I am also using the yogurt homemade/from health food stores after draining them overnight and adding raw fresh milk (not packet milk from suppliers and stores). Let me know if you need more info. Re: Prayers for MRI tommorow
Meredith,
You, your step Dad, and family have my prayers and will be in my thoughts. May God's peace and presence surround and dwell with in each of you, and may you all have reason to sing praises to God and thanks for JB in the near future! I hope the surgery and the wafer are all the traditional medicine he will need and that the diet and faith will overcome this giant. It is reassuring that he has a good appitite and is "overall doing okay." He is blessed to have the family support to follow this protocol. After loosing my sister to this beast using traditional medicine, I assure you, I am pulling for his success with all my heart! May you each see God's hand and feel His grace in your journey. Question
Sitala (dd) ACBSP
I'm an american living in India. I started on Budwig diet in Australia,I don't think the bought paneer will work very well. The quality of milk is questionable and would not be low in fat. Store bought paneer is pressed to quite a think consistency, which wouldn't mix very well. It is quite different if you make your own fresh paneer. If you get fresh cows milk and put it in the fridge, the cream will come to the top and you can scrape that off. Then bring the milk to a boil add enough lemon juice to curdle the milk. Put the paneer in a strainer for a few mintues until the paneer looks the consistency of cottage cheese. This would be lower in fat and a better consistency for making the fo/cc mix Will this work, or would I better off to use yogurt? I frequently can buyBuffalo milk yogurt is really heavy stuff--thicker and creamier than cow milk yogurt. Personlly, I think cow's yogurt would be much better. It is easy to make your own yogurt (having first taken the fat off the top of the milk), then hang it in a cheese cloth for 8-12 hours--you will wind up with a product much like quark which works very well. regards Sitala |
MRI Contrasting
marjorieprice2
Hello again, my husband went for his MRI this morning. They have
told him he needs to have another scan done on Thursday. They say they need to get a better picture and do a contrasting one were they inject a dye called Gadolinium. I have been looking this up on the net, and it says there is a risk of skin disease on kidney patients. Does anyone know if there is a risk to cancer patients?? I don't want him to have this if its going to make things worse. They want to see if its gone into the bone in the leg. My husband is the one with Melanoma with mets to the liver and brain. We have been vegan now for 4 months and doing the FO/CC. He has been feeling fine, apart from his leg. He has been having pain at the top and side of his left leg for some time, but in the last 2 weeks its become unbearable. Its taking him all his time to stand. He also has a swelling at the top of his leg. I have been putting Eldi oil on this, and also giving him a light massage over the whole body at the same time. Am I doing the right thing when he has mets? We both feel we need some advice can anyone help? Kind Regards Marjorie |

Re: Why does pain accompany cancer healing?
When cancer is growing and even more so when cancer is shrinking and
dying it produces LOTS of toxins and toxins cause pain. That is why pain goes with cancer. The best, by far, way to git rid of the toxins and eliminate the pain is to do the coffee enema. For advice on that check with Rhoda Mead, or firefly541 @gmail.com or Henry Lee. |
Re: Loretta / Re: How can I have a life AND do this protocol!?!?!?

Bronwynn,
After reading your reply to Loretta's post, I feel like I need to say a couple of words about walking in anyone's shoes. I'm sure everyone in this group could talk about their story. Each one of these stories would be as meaningful as yours. Who would want to walk in the shoes of a mother of young children that was just told she had cancer? This is the story of my firend. I thank God everyday for the help this group has given me. My friend went from being carried to the bathroom in Feb., this year, to now working again, shopping, cooking dinners, and just got back from a trip with her husband and son. This is a wonderful support group and what you took as offense should be looked at as help. We are not here to judge anyone. We are all here to help one another through our anger and fears. I would take a look at the advice of the ones that are winning their battle with cancer and enjoying life. They aren't the bad guys. They are the ones that deal with whatever it takes to live as normal as possible while following a protocol that works. And they are what makes this group so wonderful. These are success stories with real live people that take time out of their daily life to help others. God Bless You All.......................................... Sylvia |

FSO heals scalding burn almost immediately
texasredstar
Here is another use for FSO that I hope no one ever needs but, if you
do, it works wonderfully. We were vacationing in Alaska for the last 10 days and our daughter poured a hot cup of coffee from a commercial coffee maker in the motel lobby - they were out of lids and as we were taking the stairs back to our room the coffee spilled all over her hand leaving it bright red and badly burned. We didn't have any first aide kit but did have our FSO for making fo/cc mix. I took the oil and applied it liberally to her burned hand. Within minutes the red was greatly diminished and the burning sensation was gone. We never did apply more and the skin never blistered - in fact - you can never tell it was burned. Wonderful stuff that Flaxseed Oil!! Good for so many uses. By the way, we were able to prepare our FO/CC 2x's daily and found salads at Subway to be wonderful - a very large salad with spinach, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, black olives and jalapeno's - we used honey mustard for a dressing but they did also have oil and vinegar for a dressing. We ate out numerous times - finding many restaurants either had vegetarian meals available or would make them at our request. We did have grilled Halibut a couple of times. We took our stick blender and coffee grinder and found several stores with Nancy's Cottage Cheese and other items. Anchorage had more organic foods available than my local Houston store! I had requested vegan meals on the plane but do not recommend doing so - their food had many additives but we could eat the carrots and salad and they served hot tea or water, so we did ok. Home again and back to our regular Budwig meals. Margaret <>< in Houston |

Pasta
Hi all,
I'm not writing this to argue or to impose my opinion on others, but before making a decision to eat pasta, please read the following and research more on your own. In my own opinion, bought pasta is not compatible with the protocol. Dr. Budwig recommended to eat fresh, electron-rich foods. She also insisted in not eating left-over foods, regardless of what it is. To me, factory-made pasta, which takes hours to be made, is not fresh food but is more like left-over food in regards of the timing between being made and being consumed. In the cookbook there is only one recipe resembling "noodles", and the recipe asks for making the fresh dough (recipe 85, page 85). I would say, the more someone wants to stretch this protocol, the more risk is taken. So, read and decide for yourself: From: About Factory-made pasta: The dough is shaped by pushing it through perforated dies, which ideally are bronze and usually are Teflon. The shapes must then be allowed to dry completely before being packaged. Great factory-made pasta takes a very long time to make: the dough is kneaded at length, then it is pushed slowly through the dies, then it is allowed to dry in its own good time. From: About Soba, 100% Buckwheat Soba, 100% BuckwheatEDEN 100% Buckwheat Soba is a rich and warming food made using ancient, traditional methods. It is a delicious and convenient way to enjoy the flavor and exceptional health benefit of buckwheat. Soba is Japanese for buckwheat. In Japan, 100 Percent Buckwheat Soba is called 'kiko uchi' meaning 'pure soba'. Whole buckwheat is small batch, stone ground into flour then added to a slow moving mixer with pure water to form a dough. This slow mixing process ensures the best texture and flavor. A series of rollers gradually presses the dough into thin sheets. Another roller with blades cuts the sheets of dough into long strands. The long strands are hung on poles in a drying room with fans an allowed to dry for about 40 hours. The noodles are hand cut to length and allowed to finish air drying before packaging. From: "Since January 1, 1998, new Food and Drug Administration rules have required food manufacturers to fortify grain-based foods such as pasta with folic acid, an important B vitamin. Folic acid, also known as folate and folacin, plays an important role in the body's central nervous system. FDA has determined that diets adequate in folic acid may reduce a woman's risk of having a child with brain or spinal cord defects. Under the new rules, a 2 oz. serving of dry pasta will supply the equivalent of about 100 micrograms a day of folic acid or 25 percent of the recommended daily intake (RDI). An article in the February 1998 issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), reveals that increasing intake of folate and vitamin B6 above current recommended levels may help protect women from developing coronary heart disease (CHD). Apparently, folate and B6 play an important role in metabolism, reducing homecysteine levels. A study of 80,082 women found that those with the highest intakes of both folate and vitamin B6 had a 45 percent reduced risk of CH A Message From Mary Jo Feeney, MS, RD, FADA Pasta has always been a top nutrition "player" in our diets, and now, this delicious food provides even more health benefits. Why? Pasta is fortified with folic acid (the synthetic form of naturally occurring folate), due to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations that require enriched grain products to contain this essential vitamin." Much health to all, Georgeta |

I had two PET/CTs, CA27-29, CA15-3, CEA, and CA125. The CA125 was elevated three weeks after my surgery, but way down a month later. At first, I thought maybe the CA125 was reflecting my cancer and progress, but now I'm not so sure now that I know abdominal inflammation can cause elevated CA125. I DID do a Navarro urine test that was slightly elevated. I will be repeating that, shortly, to see what that shows. I have read differing opinions on the accuracy of that test ... does anyone have any idea about that? xxoo Melissa --- In FlaxSeedOil2@..., "Jan" <jguinette@...> wrote:
