Another CoQ10 website

Vanessa;
Here is another website about CoQ10.

Does anyone know if those claims about CoQ10 curing cancer are true?/

Does any of you have a brittle nails like I do? How can I fix it?

Thanks,
Karine

Re: A Note From Flo! - Vanessa

Vanessa,
I also don't find FO/CC tasty, but I chase them down with pineapples.
It really masks the taste when I bite a pinapple chunk after a spoon
of mixture and I got used to it. May be you could try to trick
yourself? Do you get allergic reaction to dairy?

I also found some websites where it says CoQ10 helps cancer
remission. Here is one website, but you would probably find more if
you gave search

Did JB include any other co-enzymes in this protocol? It seems like
we need a balance of enzymes, hormones, nutrition, mind, spirit,
etc...

When you took flaxoil during pregnancy did you take it in capsules
or freshly made flaxoil from a bottle?
And what do you mean by xenoestrogens? I thought they are banned?

I constantly read about cancer topic wishing I could find the cause..
I wish you win the battle,
Karine

I haven't actually started the protocol yet. I use flax oil and
flaxseeds all
the time but have never eaten cottage cheese. I must admit to
finding it
repellant. But I am psyching myself up for it.

I had chemo friday -[ Abraxane -[ and have my hands full just
taking care of
my son. . .

I am waiting for the Budwig books to come in teh mail, I actually
got one, it
is quite short and not very specific as to HOW to acheive the
results. But I
havne't given it a lot of attention. THe cookbook one seems like
it will be
more helpful on a practical level.

THanks for your kind thoughts. I think that xeno-[estrogens caused
the cancer
and the mammogram angered it and the biopsy spread it. Plus I was
not
getting enough sleep.

sleep is a factor here.

What is cultured vegetable starter?

Thanks,

Hi, Nelson. I see that I did not dilute the cabbage juice with 2-3

Re: Chemicals in daily life

I used flaxoil from a bottle. I also took Carlson's fish oil in capsules. I
doubt that the oils were significant to the cancer. While I eat well as
compared to most people I meet, I'm far from saintly. I have struggled with getting
ALL the bad chemicals out of my life. I am so good and then I do something
bad, like paint my toenails or eat something that was wrapped in saran wrap or
something with artificial color in it or sugar. Avoiding poison is impossible.
That is the point of going with the Budwig theory and being oxygenated, the way
I see it. We can't really just avoid carcinogens and call it done. Our
lives (at least my life) are(/is) saturated with carcinogens.

Xeno-estrogens are chemical compounds that bind like estrogen. Petroleum
products and byproducts, like plastic, and pesticides, and detergents, and many
additives to cosmetics, etc., are xeno-estrogenic. I wish we could just ban
them, but people wouldn't give up their petroleum products. Plus, even if we ban
something, like DDT or Lindane, that clearly causes breast cancer, then we still
produce it and sell it to other countries and then eat it on imported grapes,
etc. . .

Phyto-estrogens are plant substances that bind like estrogen, soy and many
other beans, herbs, nuts and seeds including flaxseeds contain
phyto-estrogens. Some people say they are great for breast and other hormonal cancers,
even preventative. Others say they are dangerous. Some say they are good in
post but not pre-[menopausal patients. OThers just say if you are ER positive
avoid ALL estrogens (and then hand you tamoxifen, a xeno-estrogen in my book). I
just don't know what to make of it. My diet was heavy in phyto-estrogens
before this all happened. I still go heavy on beans, seeds and nuts, but not soy.

I was exposed to pesticides and to urethane (a xeno-estrogen used to coat
floors) while I was nursing my son. And I got no sleep. Sleep matters. If you
want to be healthy, you gots to sleep

Re: cabbage juice---A search under "vegetables enzyme inhibitor spray"

Starris, why would a cabbage sprout?

And once bean sprouts are taken out of the growing medium, and any
water is removed from them, they will stop growing.

But enough of this. This thread could go on for a very long time. I
hope at some point you can email me some information about this
supposed spraying of vegetables. I certainly know that non-organic
carrots will sprout, as will pineapples, avocados, potatoes and onions.
But cabbage or lettuce or any other plant that has been cut away from
its main stem, of course it will not sprout.

Statistics, morbidity and mortality are valuable tools and will tell you pretty accurately when the average demise will take place............if you continue relying upon allopathic practices to bring them to fruition.

If on the other hand, you begin to take control of your body and what you allow done to it, the figures then lie.

Stay strong, keep studying, and be happy.

Re: cabbage juice--okay for your healing, Anna, but Dr. Budwig did

breathedeepnow

Anna, it is fine that you think this:

"No I think that when someone is talking about cabbage juice that has
been cultured should say instead "cultured cabbage juice" and not
just "cabbage juice"."

You are of course free to think whatever you like. HOWEVER, on this
list, when cabbage juice is referred to, it is understood that it is to
be soured or cultured, because that is what Dr. Budwig said to drink.
She never mentioned a thing about fresh cabbage juice. So it is you who
need to say fresh or uncultured cabbage juice, since that is what you
chchoose to drink instead of what Dr. Budwig recommended.

Off the top of my head, I recall reading about two ways conventional
produce may be treated to extend shelf life/make it look better:

- irradiation (I think with x-rays)

- antibiotics, used probably during growth

Two more reasons - and I am sure there are more dubious techniques they
apply - to go for organic/self-grown.

I want to thank you for this information on the vegetables and
sprouts. I will never again buy sprouts. I can grow my own so easily
I will certainly do it from now on. This is so sad that they have to
ruin everything for us.
We have become so lazy we don't raise our own vegetables any more.

Re: Salt for Kraut

mkathryn59

Hello Marilyn,
You are just fine with the sea salt. I too used it to make my kraut.
The difference in pickle salt is it does not have the added iodine.
All table salt comes from land mines and has been so refined to take
away the important minerals. I have made several batches of kraut and
used the sea salt and it did just fine. So no need to worry about it.
Blessings,
Kathryn

Is your water chlorinated? I don't wash home grown vegetables before refrigerating because they last longer if I don't.

Please don't refrigerate tomatoes. It ruins the flavor.

Starris,

I can also say that when my wife and I have grown lettuce, or peppers
or tomatoes or kale in our home garden, that those vegetables, when
washed, dried and kept refrigerated, have easily stayed crisp and fresh
for a week or more.

I mean that I learned how veggies are forced into longer shelf life while at work for a health food distributor.

Most of your veggies are probably grown here, the food basket of the world, central CA. If they go bad quickly, that could be because of transport time. They're misted here, too. Otherwise they'd dry out. You'll notice waxed fruits and veggies aren't misted. Your potatoes might be younger than the leftovers we get, but I guarantee they're treated with something to prevent sprouting.

This conversation started because you guys were trying to figure out why cabbage juice rotted instead of fermenting. I still think inadequate enzymes could be the reason. You'll notice they rot, but don't grow. Bean sprouts is the best example. If you grow your own sprouts, they continue to grow until you eat them. Store bought sprouts wilt and die, but never grow. Just turn brown and mushy. They don't even green up if placed in the sun.

Hi. What do you mean, please, by "I only know about it from work."?

Such is not the case where I live. Here in Illinois, potatoes do not
have inner brown spots, and here the only store that does not use a
water misting system on its vegetables---one that operates about once
every 60 seconds---has lettuce and other vegetables that indeed become
wilted within a very short time.

Salt for Kraut

MARILYN SIMPSON

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Sea Salt (which I know is unrefined) and pickling salt? I just made my first batch of sauerkraut and used sea salt. Will I have an inferior/wasted batch of kraut? It has a few days to go before it's finished. Also, I tried the cultured cabbage juice recipe from the files and the taste and smell was a little repulsive. I do like sauerkraut so hope this works so I don't have to start over.

Re: A Note From Flo! - Vanessa

Thanks, Anna. I crave these vegetables and eat them with generous flax oil
already - my son and i eat brussel sprouts and broccoli every day :) just
makes sense that even if it isn't as potent as actually following the protocol, at
least I'm doign somehting while my chemo-brain figures out what I need to do
to follow the protocol :)

Re: A Note From Flo! - Vanessa

Hi Wilhelm,

Am I to understand that Quark is an appropriate substitute for cottage
cheese, but yogurt is not?

Is there any alternative to the above for the milk allergic?

Thank you very much,

vanessa

just quark. Could you tell me more specifically where it is?
Thanks :)

MSG

rifle147620

Thought the following would be of interest especially in the USA.--
Nelson

By Ben Kim, D.C.

MSG (monosodium glutamate) is not a preservative. It is an additive
that enhances the flavour of food by exciting and increasing the
sensitivity of your taste buds. In other words, MSG is used to make
your nervous system believe that the foods you are eating are tastier
than they really are. MSG has absolutely no nutritional value.

What's the problem with MSG? Quite simply, it's toxic to your nervous
system. Just like aspartame, MSG can travel through the blood-brain
barrier and attach itself to receptors on your brain cells and
literally excite them to death.

MSG can cause a number of symptoms like headaches, skin rashes, bags
under the eyes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and emotional disorders
like depression and chronic anxiety. MSG has been linked to
degenerative conditions like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, retinal
damage, and ALS.

If you want to protect yourself and your family from MSG, please be
aware that food manufacturers are able to add ingredients that
contain MSG to their foods without including MSG on their labels.
This is because the Food and Drug Administration requires MSG in its
pure form to be labeled, but not MSG that is a part of other
ingredients like carrageenan and hydrolyzed protein.

Clearly, you should strive to stay away from foods that have MSG or
monosodium glutamate on their labels. You should also strive to stay
away from foods that contain the following ingredients which are
definite sources of MSG:

autolyzed yeast

sodium caseinate

calcium caseinate

gelatin (including all gelatin-covered nutritional supplements)

hydrolyzed protein

textured protein

yeast extract

citric acid

Also, please be aware that the following ingredients usually contain
MSG:

any mixes labeled as "flavouring"

natural flavours

soy protein isolate, concentrate, or extract

protein powders like whey powder

carrageenan

You can read more about how MSG causes disease by reading
Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, by Russell L. Blaylock.
