TESTIMONIAL Re: lung cancer

Hi Tom,

Congratulations on making the changes needed to stop cancer growth! Thank you for sharing your very positive experience with us. You've sent many helpful messages to the group and I'm sure this one will be very inspiring to other members.?

Nodules can take a while to dissolve and disappear even though the cancer is no longer active. At this point they are benign. As you stay on the Budwig plan, they will eventually melt away. I hope you're able to keep stress at a low level.

I'm very happy for you! ?You must feel relieved. I look forward to more posts from you as you continue your journey.?

Kind regards,
Sandra Olson

No more PET or CT's either because of the sugary dyes used ( and radiation).

I changed my diet to no meats, dairy products, eggs or sugar. I eat vegetarian and follow the Budwig diet fairly closely. I do have an occasional xray (every 6-9 months) to check nodule size. So far the nodules have not increased in size. Also I have HCG urine tests done. After about 8 months the HCG showed a 20% reduction in cancer activity. THe HCG urine test will show cancer activity, so why , in my opinion do a biopsy which could prove harmful. There are other blood tests that will confirm whether your friend has cancer or not. You don't need, at this time, to specify WHERE the cancer is. You already know that. Your friend just needs to track it. On blood tests etc. others will be of more help than I. I hope this has been helpful.?

Dear Group

I am hoping that a few of you out there who have experience with lung cancer can help me. I have a relative (in late 80's) who recently had a pet scan with a finding of "lung mass is consistent with malignancy." ?The size of the mass (also termed "nodule") in the report is" 2.6 cm x 2.4 cm, maximum SUV 5.8" ?and "abuts the major fissure and has two pleural tails" (not sure what the latter means) No other nodule or mass was identified. An appointment is scheduled with the pulmonologist next week. ?In preparation for that appointment, I would like to ask the following questions:?

1. Is a biopsy the only way to definitely determine lung cancer? ?My concern is that a) this is invasive and b) one test seems to be leading to another and then additional scans are scheduled .... it never ends . ?

2. Since we know that the body uses "encapsulation" to ?sequester irregular cells, ?what are the dangers with a biopsy for lung cancer -- e.g. could it cause metastasis elsewhere?

3. ?Assuming the answer to 1 is yes, ?given the size of the nodule, would it be prudent to just go straight to alternative treatment such as Budwig Protocol?

4. ?The doctor has mentioned something like 6 radiation treatments but I don't find a lot online about radiation. Seems like it might be external beam radiation? Does anyone have any experience positive or negative that they could share with radiation treatments for lung cancer? ?

5. Given that the patient is late 80's and lung cancer seems to have a high tendency to metastasize , what questions or factors might guide your decision as to whether to proceed with mainstream or alternative treatment? ?

When I have tried to research lung cancer online, all that comes up are a lot of medical sites devoted to mainstream treatment. You rarely see patients blogs which is why it is so nice to be able to come before this group and ask these kinds of questions.

Thank you very much
Monica

Re: Suspected lung cancer: Next steps after pet scan

Tom,

Thank you for your prompt reply. ?Just two quick questions:

1) You mention the HCG urine test -- are you using the Navarro test from the Philippines or do you have another source? My friend is based in US so would prefer a local source.

2) ?You also state "?There are other blood tests that will confirm whether your friend has cancer or not." ?May I ask which tests you are referring to?

Re: Myomin vs Tamoxifen

Myomin is not a real & exact Tamoxifen replacement, it works a bit differently.

Tamoxi? is a Estrogen blocker who may put the brake on estrogen related tumors in breast cancer .

Myomin is an aromatase inhibitor ( kind of limiting to much Estrogen ), it blocks the enzyme aromatase,
but it does not limit/prohibit the production of Estrogen by the ovaries.
The pharmaceutical Aromatase inhibitors are mostly used in postmenopausal women.

It may be an important difference if the woman is pre- or post-? menopausal;
therfor consulting your onco before the switch seems not a bad idea, imo.

And both have side effects, so please read? :

Re: Guidance on Haemarroids and anal fissures

My ex-husband had a severe case of hemorrhoids which necessitated him seeing a doctor, prescription drugs and being off work.

A co-worker told me of a remedy: ?soak the area with warm chamomile?tea (he used a wash basin and sat in it in the bathtub and then used the tea bag as a poultice) and eat raw celery. ?After recovery, incorporate as much celery into the diet as possible to help with eliminating the toxins which create the problem.

I came home from work after my husband tried the remedy and he was already back at work. ?The remedy cured him completely and he never had the issue again. ?His original hemorrhoids?were the size of large grapes and he was in agony. ?The chamomile tea worked in less than 12 hours.

I used to mash bananas into my fo/cc mixture to sweeten and make it taste like pudding but then someone
posted on this site that bananas were not part of the protocol so I stopped eating them however..... I recently
got Dr Budwigs book with many recipes which contain bananas.

Sandra, can you please clarify if its ok to put banana in the fo/cc? if not, wonder why it is included in other recipes?

Thank you,
