Re: GIST

I hope it goes well for you. Since I found out about it I changed my life style so BP fits easy in that. I enjoy ?FOCC twice daily plus 5 servings of FS and the rest of it. The only thing I didn¡¯t exclude is animal proteins- once daily though for dinner only. I was amazed how such simple BP diet in short period of time made me feel really good, like nothing is wrong with me ?. ?Of course it¡¯s much more into it than just FOCC , plant based food?, believe, positive mindset, optimism at all times, spending time outside etc. For?me so good so far.?
Cheers Goran.?

Re: Flax Oil Sources

Not that I think it is a major issue, but I don't see any reference to being organic. I didn't use organic cottage cheese, so as I say it may not be a big deal with the oil.

Re: Flax Oil Sources

Nobody cold stores/transports flax oil all the way from field to fare. Dr B also preferred glass bottles, but that again is hard to come by in this age. I used Puritan's Pride for nearly the entire time I was active on Budwig and it healed my cancer. I did get one bad batch from PP, but they refunded my money when I made them aware. Piping Rock is another I used. Theirs is darker, which I attributed to pressing the brown seed, and tasted a little different. I preferred the PP, but they would run out on occasion and I would have to substitute.

15 Key Points of Dr. Budwig's Protocol - Plz read & Save

Below are Guidelines in brief of the Budwig Diet?¨C you don¡¯t have to consume all the foods on this list. Membership to our site, Budwig-Videos.com gives you videos or articles in detail about each item below. This information is from Dr. Budwig¡¯s books.

1. 1st thing in AM¨CSauerkraut Juice, preferably raw & homemade [We have a video on our site showing how to make it] . Raw unheated kraut has enzymes, probiotics and vitamins which help the digestive system metabolize foods & improve immunity. Most sauerkraut sold in stores is pasteurized [heated] and nutrients are damaged. It won¡¯t help as much.

2. Just before breakfast¨C green or herbal tea

3. Breakfast¨C3 Tbs. Flax Oil & 6 Tbs. Quark or Cottage Cheese+ 3 Tbs. milk if needed for thinning, well blended, after blending, add 2 Tbsp flax seeds, freshly ground, add fresh fruit, fruit juice, raw nuts, 1 tsp raw honey. Afterward, if hungry, choose whole grain bread, raw vegetables, & an oz of quality cheese: Edam, Gouda, Emmentaler, Sbrinz or Camembert.

4. Mid-morning ¨C Homemade Vegetable Juice (carrots, beets w/lemon or apple) . Homemade carrot or beet juices are very important cancer-fighters.

5. Before Lunch ¨C Champagne or sparkling wine with 1 Tbs of flaxseeds[freshly ground] OR ground flax seeds in small glass of fruit juice. The champagne helps with absorption of the seeds.

6. SUNBATHING outside 10 to 20 minutes around noon [weather permitting] without sun lotion or glasses, expose as much skin as possible. Avoid washing with soap after sunbathing. Give the vitamin D time to be made and absorbed[24-48 hours]

7. Lunch ¨C raw vegetable salad with a variety of raw greens and vegetables + Budwig dressing using 1tbs flaxseed oil, 2tbs fruit juice, 1tsp mustard. ?If still hungry, boiled or steamed veggies, grains and beans, lentils, or potatoes. [If a member of this site, see ¡°DINNER¡± in the Menu for over 25 recipes]

8. Lunch Dessert ¨C It¡¯s important to have a 2nd serving of 3 Tbs. Flax Oil & 6 Tbs. Quark or Cottage Cheese with a little milk, well blended. Add raw fruit, fruit juice, raw nuts, raw honey and/or other flavors you like. You can also use non-sweetened cocoa for a dark chocolate flavor. Dark chocolate fights cancer if used in small amounts. It cannot contain sugar.

9. Mid-afternoon ¨C 1 Tbs. whole flaxseeds, freshly ground & added to 3 to 8 oz of pure fruit juice, homemade or store bought.

10. STRESS REDUCTION/RELAXATION PRACTICE ¡ª Meditation to relax the mind, EFT to change thinking, & other techniques that reduce stress as shown on the Budwig-Videos website for those who join. [EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique]. Chronic stress can be very damaging. [We have a video for relaxation methods for members of this site.]

11. Late afternoon ¨C Papaya or pineapple juice, 3 to 8 oz, with 1 Tbs. whole flaxseeds, freshly ground.

12. Dinner ¨C Cooked grains and nutritional yeast flakes such as Red Mill Nutritional Yeast with B12 or grains with vegetables w/oleolux, nutritional yeast flakes & spices. Vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, broccoli, & cabbage add cancer-fighting nutrition. Grains suggested by Dr. Budwig: brown rice, buckwheat, millet and oats. Dine early.

13. Evening ¨C 1 glass Red Wine [optional]. Go to sleep early ¨C before 10pm if possible.

14. AVOID chemicals, preservatives, damaging fats, meats/poultry/eggs/fish, sugar, sugar substitutes, highly processed foods, most supplements, ozone treatments, dental infections and wean off drugs if possible [under doctor¡¯s care]

15. Most people do not need ELDI oils, which Dr. Budwig created mainly for patients who are too weak to eat. These oils are sold in Germany. They are rubbed on the skin or used as an enema if needed. [Some people make a version of ELDI oil at home by mixing 75% flax oil with 25% wheat germ oil to help preserve it. ]

Re: Prostate and Budwig/FSCC

Thomas Levy also recommended a person take all the types of vitamin c, regular, intravenous and liposomal.? As intravenous is expensive in the states (not sure about Europe)? I take regular time released c? as well as liposomal or "poor mans intravenous c" daily.? Liposomal has an advantage over intravenous in that it gets into the cells themselves

Heat Treatment of the Prostate

Read about the process before, during, and after the treatment.

About the Treatment

Heat treatment is an outpatient procedure for an enlarged prostate. Using microwaves, the prostate is heated to 55-60 degrees Celsius. The heat breaks down the tissue in the part of the prostate gland surrounding the urethra, improving urine flow. The treatment lasts between 30 minutes to an hour. Local anesthesia is administered to the prostate immediately before the treatment.

Important Preparation

If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you must pause as agreed with the doctor at the clinic. You should not drive home after the treatment.

On the Day of the Treatment

Two hours before the scheduled time, take the prescribed medication:

  • 1 tablet of Bioclavid 500 mg (antibiotic)
  • 1 tablet of Brufen 400 mg (pain reliever)
  • 2 tablets of Panodil 500 mg (pain reliever)
  • 1 tablet of Betmiga 50 mg (bladder relaxant)

You do not need to fast, and you may take your usual medication.

The treatment begins with the administration of local anesthesia to the prostate through a catheter. Then, the treatment catheter is inserted into the bladder, a temperature sensor is placed around the penis, and another temperature sensor is inserted into the rectum. Everything is connected to a computer, and the treatment starts. The temperature sensors ensure constant monitoring of the surrounding area¡¯s temperature. During the treatment, you may feel discomfort in the form of a strong urge to urinate and possibly a bowel movement due to the heat. If the discomfort is significant, you can receive pain relief or relaxing medication.

The urethra and prostate swell during the treatment, making it necessary to place a catheter in the bladder after the heat treatment. The catheter must remain in place for four weeks.

After the Treatment

Pain You may experience aching or pain for the first few days. This can be alleviated with 2 tablets of Panodil (500 mg) or 2 tablets of Ipren (200 mg), up to three times daily.

Bladder Catheter The catheter is connected to a urine bag. Once a day, the area around the catheter should be washed with mild soap. Avoid pulling or bending the catheter. Lay it in a soft loop in your underwear. The catheter tube can be fastened to the thigh with tape.

Bleeding There may be blood in the urine for the first 2-3 days. It is important to drink plenty of fluids (2-3 liters daily) and ensure the catheter functions properly with urine flow. If the catheter becomes blocked, a home nurse can flush it, or you can contact the Emergency Telephone at 1813.

There will be some bloody discharge along the catheter, especially initially. This is because there is a wound in the prostate that gradually sheds tissue debris. If there is no blood in the urine after three days, the urine bag can be disconnected, and the valve can be opened during the urge to urinate, at least every three hours during the day. At night, connect the urine bag with a long tube. There may also be some urine leakage along the catheter due to bladder irritation. This can be managed by reattaching the urine bag. It is necessary to use male pads for a period. You will be provided with the necessary aids before you go home.

Antibiotics You will need antibiotic treatment with Bioclavid 500 mg tablets, three times daily for three days. The medication will be provided by the nurse at the clinic.

Catheter Removal The catheter will be removed at the clinic you are affiliated with 4-5 weeks after the treatment. Follow-up will occur via a telephone consultation approximately six months after your treatment.

Effect of Heat Treatment

The full effect of the treatment can only be assessed after 3 to 6 months. There will be frequent urination and sudden urges, which can be difficult to control. These symptoms will gradually disappear. Up to 5% of patients may experience problems achieving a normal erection, and the treatment may result in the absence of ejaculation. There is a very small risk of permanent urinary incontinence.

Contact for Complications

If you need help, you can contact Urological Diseases, Clinic 1, or your general practitioner during daytime hours. Outside of these hours and on weekends, you should contact the Emergency Telephone at 1813, which may refer you to the Emergency Department.

Contact Information for the Department of Urological Diseases
