Fortunatley she goes from about 8-12 then comes home until three (not supposed to though) and then goes back till maybe 5/6. Its not easy...and somedays she cant go..espeically if she didnt get enough sleep or is in too much pain. It also depends on your cancer. What type do you have? and about Budwig...she eats it when she gets home. Liz |

I've been really stressed because I need to start working again
because of financial difficulties. Luckily I'm able to livew rent free right now with my parents but its just getting to the point where I'm eally running low on resources. This flax oil and the vitamins along with the alternative approach really adds up. Anyway, I was just curious if any of you guys are still working with cancer and how do you impliment the budwig protocol into your day? |

I am currently recovering from breast cancer. I started back to work
recently doing 20-30 hours a week so I can be home for my daughter after school. My hours are from 9 to 3 and sometimes I get off early if business is slow. I work for a call center taking phone orders. The trick to working is finding a job to suit you without getting stressed out. My income is low enough where I qualify for medicaid and public housing. I found a good alternative healthcare practitioner who is willing to work with me financially. I also use the internet to order most of my supplements that he has recommended for me to take. I start my mornings with fo/cc over a bowl of mixed berries and grounded flax seeds. I find that this really keeps me full during the day. I take a piece of fruit and bottled water to work for breaktime since I don't really have a lunch period. When I come home I fix my main meal of fresh vegetables and some type of high quality protein. My favorite is wild salmon. I use the Oil-Protein Diet as a guideline. I am a carboholic so I avoid a lot of simple carbohydrates such as bread, potatoes, corn and rice. I use a lot of quinoa which is an excellent alternative to rice and potatoes. I keep my diet simple and easy which helps. When I have time to experiment I like trying out the different recipes in Dr. Budwig's book. It's not that hard once you decide to just do it. Everything else falls into place. I find the Budwig protocol to be among the cheapest "eats" that can be found. You can get flaxseed for $1.99 per pound (that's a LOT of seeds) at ...

...and a 3-lb tub of lowfat cottage cheese is a little over $3 at Costco. I bought a 32 oz (one month supply at 1 oz per day) bottle of liquid vitamins at Costco for a little over $11. And the deal of the century on 100% pure Hawaiian Noni juice has just got to be at ... ... 32 oz. for $12 (40 cents per day) (plus shipping). You can buy apricot kernels (Vitamina B-17--laetrile) online dirt cheap, too. I guess what I'm saying is, cut out the fluff in your grocery budget (we all have some) and there's money for essentials? ----- Original Message -----

Pat, it sounds like you're doing everything right to aid your own recovery. The only thing I would add is to perhaps study up on Guided Imagery. Here's an eloquent testimonial and a tutorial on how to do it:
