Barleans is just a brand name of cold pressed flax oil. There is nothing "special" about is. Any organic cold pressed flax oil will suffice. I used Puritan's Pride nearly the entire time of my healing, because it cost 1/3 of Barleans and the ingredients are essentially the same. No lignans.
