I was also watching this utter classic on the Annie Nightingale special BBC4 thing last weekend and it also freaked out Lucas.
Jane and Barton, what a stupendous ditty of weirdness. He said it sounded like something from a mad child horror movie. "But there's no music" he cried.

Great news Pete, both my children were forced to listen, separately, to
the song and their reactions were markedly similar - firstly, horror at
its awfulness; followed by amused bafflement at (a) how such music could
even exist, and (b) how anyone could enjoy it.
