Re: Blah blah blah

Good stuff Adam, I'll listen to these when I'm not surrounded by other
tasteless judgemental humans.

Speaking of "awful, but strangely alluring", I regularly get a song stuck
in my head - I'm pretty sure that Pete introduced me to the band. I
know the song's called Nature, but that's all I've got. There's some
high-pitched caterwauling, some fairly shambolic vocals and a really
really catchy section of tune. It goes like this bom bom bom,
bom-ba-bom-ba-bom, da-da-doo-doo da-da-doo-doo. Anyway, I love it, but
I can't remember for the life of me.

Pete? PETE!?

Oh, why won't he answer?

No not the Iggy Pop song but this:

I saw this band once at the same event where erstwhile list member Guy Jackson got bottled off stage. (Poor old Guy.)

Guess what?

The band were utterly dreadful, nothing as good as the above single.

I did a Marc Riley and nipped out for some chips. The class of act that I missed wasn¡¯t in the same league as Dr Riley¡¯s though.

Speaking of utterly dreadful records, anybody know this:

Peel played it a couple of times and I thought it was awful, but strangely alluring.

I had a mate who was in a teenage covers band called The Seedy Gees who released a record

He had a box of his singles which I was leafing through one day. Imagine my surprise when I came across a copy of the Balloons single that ended up in his box. As you can see, the labels are almost identical!

Lucky old me!

I actually quite like The Balloons single now. It is ruddy queer to use a Partridgism and also is the only single that I haven¡¯t found on you tube.

That¡¯s my daily story, now it¡¯s time for you lot to amuse me.

Adam

PS Anybody invited Guy Jackson back? Last I heard he was in Barcelona.
