I think the closest I can come to ANY of the aforementioned (amazing) concert experiences is either
- Amy Winehouse, sober and in GREAT form, in 2007, right as "Back to Black" was starting to gain traction ?or -Arcade Fire, Fiery Furnaces, and the Unicorns on the same bill in 2003, when Arcade Fire was still being marketed as a local Houston band

Agreed! Totes jelly. Still fairly amazed I saw the Stranglers in Texas twice in 1980-81....At Club Foot. Fairly remarkable that I sold some Thai stick to the Anti-Nowhere League and met the UK Subs in 1981 at Club Foot... Club Foot in ATX seems to be my focus here - also saw U2 there in 80 or 81 and didn't care much for them - still don't. Hah! Never got to the see the Fall until here:

Top Rank on their 1983 tour. Unfortunately I didn't have enough education to appreciate
PH as a significant artist, which I now regret. Years later a colleague gave me some

A few years later I saw Talk Talk on one of their last live tours.
I did see The Spice Girls just as they were getting big. My wife's from the south of France
so we were down visiting her family when we decided to go to Cannes for the day, during
the film festival. Walking into town, there was a cheap looking stage set up on the promenade,
with what I first took to be a Spice Girls imitation-type group, until I realised it was the actual
Spice Girls. So I saw them without trying, and without paying.
I'm trying to remember a support act who eventually became "big" but I don't think I saw
any worth mentioning, or if I did, I've forgotten.
