Hello Dave,
I have lost access to Pathfinder. Have been inactive for many months now, but with winter just ahead I might just get back into action again. Your help appreciated. 73, Carl VE9OV E-mail message checked by Spyware Doctor (6.1.0.447) Database version: 6.13200 |

Turned out to be a hardware problem. The Signalink interface has some internal jumpers to configure which signals go on which wires in the cable to the rig. One of the jumpers was loose.

Re: Erratic function of Commander 5.8.7
Upgrade releases do not make any changes to Add/Remove programs. All they do is replace some already existing files. DXLab programs are registered during the installation of the initial full release which in the case of Commander is V 5.8.7. Did you install version 5.8.7 and then upgrade it to V 7.9.2? If you use Launcher to install the applications this will all be taken care of for you but if you install manually then you have to follow the installation directions do it yourself.

However when focus was in pf window (while checking out a qrz entry for example) and you return the focus to the entry field of pf by clicking in it the cursor indicator is invisible making editing of a call already in it a little bit difficult. My wish for pf : To transfer a call from fe SC to PF you will have to double click a SC row , at the same time the DXK capture window is filled. How about just sending the call to pf on selection in SC, i like to check a call for fun in qrz via PF but need to clear the capture window every time afterwards. Re: DOK references
I have here a printed DOK list from DARC Verlag dated 22.7.1991
It shows IBO78 till IBO99 same for IR83 till IR99 UKW88 till UKW99 VHV86 till VHV99 CM80 till CM99 (and I know there are more after this one) now many with start 25, 40 or 50 and the original DOK behind that number. But I suggest if you work one of these (now CM2008 or IFA09, currently active) just add them, they are shorttime and will not be reactivated after the year is over or the activity period is past. This counts every year anew, and that's why the SonderDOK count now is higher than the original DOK count 73 Nico, pa0mir |

For instance, AN would be transmitted as a P.The transmit window indicates AN but P is actually sent (AN with no character spacing). This does not happen all of the time but ofen enough that I don't trust it. I have tried varying the character spacing value and other parameters on the cw setup but it still happens.I would appreciate ieas on a solution. Hi Dave---It is configured Parallel Port (LPT3 Data 5 pin 7) Windows is not a real-time operating system, so even though WinWarbler runsWith that setting, Windows is generating the CW timing. Unfortunately, its CW-generation at the highest possible priority, simply moving your mouse while transmitting CW can yield erratic timing. If you have other applications simultaneously running, or if your PC is light on horsepower and/or RAM, these factors can contribute to the problem. Minimizing the load on your CPU and RAM while working CW is the least expensive approach. Another approach is to acquire a WinKey -- a small hardware device that accepts characters from WinWarbler and does the CW generation. You can build a WinKey serial port kit for as little as $36 (see <>) or you can purchase a fancier USB kit for about double that price (see <>). Several commercial products also incorporate WinKey circuits, e.g. MicroHam's product line (see <>). WinWarbler can also use a KAM, PSK232, or MFJ HF modem as a CW generator; these are often inexpensively available via flea markets or EBay (e.g. see < QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b622795e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m 14#ht_2088wt_1165>). 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
