voice indication of Main A or Main B ?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hello, I'm programming an AR-5RM for a blind person and have English voice enabled in the menu. Is there some way that the user can know whether the display has Main A or Main B activated, please?

AR-5RM Flash Mode!

Interesting That Unlike The Other UV5's in the same Family The AR-5RM Will Not GO INTO "FLASH Mode By Doing The Power And PTT? Turn On.? Any One Out Their Know The "Secret"? Since The Only Way To Do A "Firmware Dump" One Needs To Go And Do Some "Solder Smoke" Work And I Am Well Past That Now!

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Thats nice to know, nice one, I'll keep that info for the next time i get a radio that needs to be set back to the baofeng standard, I only removed the GD77 from the one i had because i also use other frequencies that are not ham ones and I use the encryption, GD77 has had this feature removed as there is no need for it on the ham channels, I now have a couple of Retevis HD2's and a few other handhelds that are not baofeng. :)?

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Hi Noddy, Update: Flashing with the Stock firmware V2.06 will fix the inverted colours and give you back the stock Blue Colours.
?
I found V2.06 firmware here:

I found this with a basic Google search using their AI response at the top of
the search page. Let us know if it works, please?

Note that it may leave you in the Chinese language mode, so figure out the menus
ahead of time for changing language before trying the procedure below.

===================================================

To factory reset a Baofeng BF-T9, you'll need to turn the radio on and press the
MENU button, then navigate to the RESET menu item. Select "ALL" and confirm to
erase all settings and return the radio to its default state, which may also
revert to Chinese language mode.
Detailed Steps:
Power On and Access Menu: Turn on the Baofeng BF-T9 radio and press the MENU
button.
Locate RESET: Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to navigate the menu until you
reach the RESET menu item (usually number 40).
Select RESET: Press the MENU button to select the RESET option.
Choose ALL: Use the DOWN arrow key to choose the "ALL" option, which will reset
all settings.
Confirm Reset: Press the MENU button again to confirm the reset process. The
radio may display "SOURCE?".
Final Confirmation: Press the MENU button to confirm the reset. The radio will
display "WAIT..." and beep twice after the reset is complete.
Radio Reverts to Default: The radio will revert to its factory default settings,
which may include the Chinese language mode, according to Buy Two Way Radios.

Thanks! I'll keep tinkering

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Sorry Dean, I never found a solution, Someone did say to me that i had to alter the colours while the radio had GD77 on it, but I never got round to playing.

BF-T9

Do anyone know how to restore a BF-T9 to the factory settings please?

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Hi Noddy, Did you manage to find a solution to this problem? I also reverted back to stock firmware but seems the colours are inverted. Many Thanks

BF-T9

I think I'm having DTS/CTCSS issues with my T9; it's silent/no audio no matter what I do!

Does anyone know how to do factory reset?
?
Thank you.

DM-32UV

Just wondering if anyone has seen any new firmware for this radio.
?
Recently received and its a good bit of kit (review on my ). One issue I have with it is low TX audio on DMR (gain is set to 5 which is the max) and wondered if a firmware update might help.
?
Currently running 01.1.040 - which i suspect might well be the latest.
?
If anyone knows or has any other ideas, would be appreciated!
?
I guess i have one additional query if anyone knows -?
?
What is the best way to allow scanning of Channels (analogue).?
?
The scan list only allows 16 entries so i have multiple scan lists.
?
I've created matching zones so everything is broken into groups of 16.
?
Is this the best way to do it?
?
For instance, the airband rx on this radio is superb and i have all the local airports and ATC stored but they're split into different zones and scanlists, which is a bit of a pain.
?
Thanks!

Re: Dm32uv won't change from Chinese

The DM-1701 Radio Programming Software" Version 1.05 will not work with the baofeng DM32, that software is for the DM1701 only hence the reason you can only get the file .RDT instead of the .data one you need,? where are you getting the firmware version from? is it off the radio or through the CPS software? you may need to flash the firmware of the DM32 and see if you can get it back to what it should be, thats if the firmware on the radio is reporting the wrong firmware. I will put the firmware you need on this post, This is a link to install the firmware watch and follow this video, then to install the channels just follow what i sent to you earlier with the code plug

Re: UV-32 And Any Interesting "Programing" Entry Items? Latest Info

Hello Fellow UV-32 "Owners" I was informed that the UV-32 is in reality a attempt by Baofeng to "RE-CASE a UV-25-UV25-Plus in a NEW Looking Format and "Save a Few $$ and that the APRS Feature Is in a Menu in the the so called UV-32 that have been "upgraded to UV25M.
Any One OUT in The Internet "Wild" Know And Or Has The "Firmware" of the UV-25 Plus/M AR-152 ???
Best Regards Steve AB2ET/4

Re: Dm32uv won't change from Chinese

I was using the Baofeng CPS, but none of the file folders in the instructions mentioned in the program instructions were there, so I thought I had different firmware than Baofeng CPS wanted to have.

So I tried to flash the firmware using the instructions to press two keys - from memory the green Menu key and one of the keys near the PTT key. (I just tried several combinations from this memory but none worked, so my memory is probably defective.)

figured I could install the RT Systems software as I wanted to stay away from GD77 firmware and stick with the Baofeng firmware.?

The RT Systems software didn't work either.?

I un-installed both the Baofeng CPS and the RT Systems software.

Now it says under "About" that I'm running "DM-1701 Radio Programming Software" Version 1.05 Copyright Baofeng Electronics Co.? LTD

The DM-1701 radio itself reports firmware V002.006 and CP Ver 01.10.

Any suggestions?

the file extension .RDT is associated with the baofeng DM1701, are you actually using the CPS for the DM32 or are you using the RT software for it?

Not sure. I got my UV-5R for about $25-$30 with the extended battery plus some
additional cash for the other extended battery.
