The DM 1701 is a good DMR radio. It works perfectly fine with he stock OS, which is what I use. It is best to program the radio using the CPS (software). Go here:

I bought a Baofeng DM-1701 on Aliexpress. It probably was a mistake because the manual tells me to go to menu settings that don't exist. The last try was to do a Factory Reset, this is what I found:
