Re: 23cm models

Hi Don,

Alinco had the DJ-G7T triband HT which did 23cm. IT looks like it has been discontinued, unfortunately, but I am sure there are plenty out there still.

Icom had the T81A (had a few in the past), the X2A and X21AT which were 70cm/23cm dualband HTs, and the Delta 1 triband HT-try to find one of those today

Standard made a triband HT as well, maybe the C628?

What ARE the current offerings for 1.2 GHz besides an Icom 9700? By offerings,
I am referring to HTs (portable, hand-helds), not desktop radios like my 9700.
I'm not going to carry my 9700 around with me everywhere, but if I had a 1.2 GHz
HT, I might take it along, especially if, as someone else mentioned, if covered
144, 220, 440, and 1296 MHz. I know nothing about the 902 MHz band.

I'd consider putting up a local repeater for 1.2 GHz if we only had traffic on
our 2M and 440 repeaters.

No sense spreading out the quiet even farther. :-)
