I notice what appears to be a charge connector at the top right corner of the subject battery. Here are some questions.

#1, is this a charge port? I found no charger/wall wart listed anywhere dedicated to this battery. The wall-wart used with the standard drop in charger has a different connector.

#2, is this a DC supply port? If so, for how many volts?

Observations:

I notice that if 12vdc is supplied to this port there is no current drain until the radio is turned on. The receiver operates and the battery charge indicator shows all three bars, but the radio will not transmit. Disconnect the 12vdc and the battery indicator drops to two bars and the radio will transmit.

It would appear that this is a charge port. Odd that it is only active when the radio is turned on. What would be the safe charge voltage? 12vdc?
